Thanks sinolux, I'll have to give that a try. I'm using a usb mouse right now and really miss the magic pad. First i need sort out a CPU error that's cropped up.
The joys of hacks
Hey sinolux,
I'm having similar issues with onboard bluetooth and was wondering if you disabled the onboard bluetooth when you switched to the external bluetooth transmitter. I've tried this as well and bluetooth still does not recognize any devices. I'm running an ASUS Z97 wifi mobo.
thanks...
Hey Toleda, big fan of your work. Thanks a bunch for all the time and effort you put in on these projects. If I've used the previous version of your 892 kext, what is the value in updating to the newest version?
thanks again,

Hey Guys, to get help you need to provide more specifics. There are a wide range of things that can cause the hanging up you mention. Reboot with boot flag -v. that will give you much more information on what is hanging you up. Take a picture and post that along with the details of the system...
Looks like the bootloader is not installed on your boot media - either the USB drive or if you are attempting to boot from the hard drive after installation. Check that you created the Unibeast stick correctly. If this is happening after OSX install, be sure to run Multibeast with at least the...
Hey Gang,
Check out this link - viewtopic.php?f=14&t=35559. Samisnake put together a great guide for creating your own DSDT. Nothing too scary. Worst that happens is you have DSDT that prevents your system from booting. If that happens, use something like rBoot to get back to your system and...
I don't run AV on Mac systems, in general they aren't as effective as they are on Windows OS, but that's due to some of the other controls that OSX runs. That and the number of malware that target OSX are small in comparison.
Little Snitch is not an AV product. It's a network monitor that will...
Hey hydromedusa,
Are you not seeing Extra in the Finder window? Might need to add the Mac HD to the left nav pane. Once you've added your Mac HD to the nav pane, select it and drill down into the folder structure. Extra is at the root of the file system. If that doesn't work open a Terminal...
Unibeast gets your system to boot and allows the installation of the OS to the hard drive. When you reboot after a clean install you still use Unibeast, which runs the bootloader and necessary kexts to get the system through a generic boot. This is why sound, ethernet and other things most...
When you use easybeast you still need to select the kext for audio, network, etc. Easybeast doesn't install all those automagically. Follow step 4 in the unibeast install and that should get you close. You'll need to know what type of audio your mobo runs. The third party SATA kext is part of...
easybeast is an option in Multibeast used for systems that won't have a DSDT. Should be the first option at the top of the list.
easybeast is the recommended alternative to the UserDSDT option and your system will run fine using the easybeast approach. It just uses some additional kexts that...
Hey Elekle,
The rboot disk should not eject during boot. Trying booting with a -v switch and posting a picture of where the boot process stops. Hit the space bar when you get to the partition select screen and you can enter the -v. that should give you an idea of what is causing the failure.
