I managed to fix this in HS, but I'm not sure which of the steps I took are responsible for getting iMovie to work again:
1) Installed 10.13.2 beta
2) removed lilu and whatevergreen and used the DSDT patch from the other forum (if I had to bet, I'd put my money on this)
3) updated clover and set...
This worked for me. After updating to High Sierra, whatevergreen + lilu stopped working and I got black screen. Then I tried booting with my usb (legacy boot + whatevergreen + lilu) and it worked for some reason.
lol, they dont offer a product which would fit my needs. they only have all-in-ones and a ridicuously overpriced macpro... Also, there is an easy DSDT patch on the other forum, which fixes the blackscreen issue and deprecates whatevergreen, and I'm hopeful they'll add it to clover soon.
Also...
Oh god, this is too much work lol. I'll just pray that clvoer devs will automate this in future clover builds. In the meantime I can boot from a clover which doesnt use UEFI...
Are you sure? I'm on PB7 and it still seems to work there (135 k on Geekbench)?? Should I make backups before updating to PB8??
UPDATE: just installed PB8, geek bench result still around 130k..
I was hoping you'd put the Kext patches in the config file for RX480 CU's in 10.12.4.. Anyways, the original kext patches by florian still work or do I need to change the kext name to the new version? I don't know how clover patches kexts on the fly? Does it need the kext name?
Could you post your Cofnig.plist for RX480?? Do I have to change the kext names?? Also, which do I disable? "Change_init_from_BAFFIN_to_ELLESMERE" and "PP_DisablePowerContainment=1"??
Theoretically, if I were to update now to 10.12.4, how would I have to change those?? Do they still work/matter?
