i also had to install the nvidiagraphicsfixup and lilu kexts! without these two i would get a kernel panic and get stuck in a boot loop

Well I use the passively cooled version of that one, but it should be exactly the same apart from that. I didn’t tweak any specific setting, which ones in particular are you interested in?

For me what fixed the problem was using the nvidiagraphicsfixup and the lilu kexts! I installed them with kextbeast, after installing and activating the nvidia web driver for my particular model (geforce 1030)

I solved by changing the potential in the BIOS manually. I set it manually to 1.2 V, which lowered consistently my temps. This allowed me to manually change the Smart FAN curve, so it spins at lower RPM, while temps are lower than before. win-win situation

I solved by installing the lilu and nvidiagraphicsfixup kexts! Now everything works fine, right resolution and acceleration enabled. didn't need to disable the intel graphics in the bios, it's set to auto. Thanks everyone for the help!!
