I noticed they are included, but I am having no trouble with sleep/reboot/shutdown; nor am I experiencing automatic reboot. Maybe only work well with my particular board/revision?? Not quite sure, but I would like to help out however i can. Thanks.
I've got it halfway working. Read here. My ports function, and drives mount. They are recognized as USB 3.0 Super Speed, but connect at 480 Mbps. I am working on the last part. I have a USB 3.0 external HDD coming from NewEgg today to test and see if it goes to 5Gbps.
UPDATED - SUCCESS! Mountain Lion - USB 3.0 - Gigabyte UEFI Success!
I have been battling with USB 3.0 functionality on my Hack Pro since I installed Mountain Lion, and I think I have finally had some success. I want to try to detail each step of the way and what the outcomes were for them, so...
I can't for the life of me get the NEC driver to work in ML. I installed the MultiBeast kext, enabled xHCI handoff in the bios. I have purchased two separate USB3 card readers (one Kingston and one Realtek-based). I even installed an Asmedia1042 based PCIX1 card... All of the results are the...

BTW- Disabling EIST doesn't keep me running at 4.1 24/7. At idle, clock is 1.6. Under load, only 4.1.
Your write speeds seem very much inline with what I get from my Vertex3, and seems inline with what to expect from any SandForce-based SSD. The only thought that comes to mind in regards to the read speed is that maybe the drive is attached to a SATAII header on the board. My board has...

Here's the answer...
This post by thelostswede on 7/12/12 answers it for me, although not what I want to hear:
