CustoMac Mini takes more than 5 minutes to wake from sleep

Hey, This is my 3rd build, 2nd using Mountain Lion. Installed as instructed using the CustoMac Mini guide using the same components, as detailed below, utilising the integrated HD4000 graphics and using the GA-Z77N-WIFI DSDT for MultiBeast. The build has been successful but I cannot get...

    Bluetooth receiver recommendation

Appreciated, I'll probs get a Belkin one, they're cheap. Cheers for the help, I didn't realise there were compatibility issues with these!

    Bluetooth receiver recommendation

Right, so I happened to come across a slick bluetooth mac keyboard that's taken me time to fix up, to realise that my mobo doesn't actually have a bluetooth receiver. So can I just buy any old bluetooth receiver and it should work out of box? I've used my mobo's DSDT to set up my comp if it...

Fat vs NTFS for file storage

    1. If I knew I could format it MBR EXFAT, then I would have done it, I didn't realise, my mistake. 2. It's not only a data file drive, it will have an operating system on it also.

Fat vs NTFS for file storage

EXFAT would be ideal indeed, but as you said it requires me to format the HDD in GUID as opposed to MBR, so I couldn't run Windows off of it. I may move OSX onto my 1TB HDD though and have my data storage partition as EXFAT. Putting windows on the smaller HDD. Cheers for the suggestion! EDIT...

Fat vs NTFS for file storage

Paragon seems a great deal more promising, installed and it's functioning fine. Did have to run chkdsk as stuff got corrupted leaving more than one method of mounting running, no doubt was my own fault. I think this was the problem after installing the previously suggested application too...

Fat vs NTFS for file storage

Installed, gave it a go, still getting various errors with reading and writing to my ntfs partition. This comes as I try to back everything up, says there are privilege issues with files and still can't open the files I previously mentioned. Will continue to back-up! Cheers for the link though...

Fat vs NTFS for file storage

So, I have Windows 7 on a 1TB HDD which has been partitioned to hold my data in about a 900GB partition, leaving 100 or so for Win 7. On a separate smaller HDD I have OSX 10.6.8 installed. I want both the Win 7 and OSX installation to share the data on the 900GB partition on my 1TB HDD. So my...

    Hot plugging eSata

It wasn't, no. But since I restarted it hasn't given me the same issue. Hopefully it'll be fine now.

    Hot plugging eSata

Okay, so my eSata drive has just stopped appearing, completely randomly. Can't see it when it's plugged in even in the Disk Utility, haven't tried restarting yet mind. But clearly still an issue.

    Hot plugging eSata

Okay, so mine works now how I want it too. Which is it can be plugged in at startup or after. Then ejected when not needed to transfer files from elsewhere. After plugging back in it isn't recognised instantly like in Windows. It needs to be remounted, so currently I go to the Disk Utility and...

    Hot plugging eSata

Will give this a go now. And no I haven't added any JMicron SATA or ESATA kexts, wasn't sure which were required, although I assume just the ones labeled eSATA and SATA in the JMicron list. I'll give them a go now too. Cheers!

    Hot plugging eSata

Hey, just reinstalled mac, all working pretty well. Although I can't remove and reinsert my eSata HDD. It is recognised on startup if plugged in, but not if I remove and reinsert it. Is there any way to allow me to do this? Cheers for absolutely any help.
