Just curious if anybody here knows whether the new MacBook Pro 16 could be downgraded to Mojave (from Catalina, which it ships with)? I know Macs don't officially support OS versions lower than the one they shipped with, but obviously this forum isn't exactly concerned with "official" support! ;-)

Finally got it working from the EFI shell. Didn't think that was supposed to be necessary... Anyway, it boots without USB now.

I'm having the same problem; El Cap runs fine, but can't boot without USB drive connected. In my case, the system boots straight into bios (if USB drive isn't connected). [btw: I have checked, and the drive is not CoreStorage.]

Okay, thanks. Good to know. I figured I'll just keep incremental backups and integrate as I get things working. This problem with booting only from USB is making me insane. It almost seems like a bios thing, but I've checked and double-checked... I tried this...

Strange question, perhaps: Does Clover F4 integrate patches I've already made? That is, if I've got a patch working, and I do F4 again, will the extracted .aml have that patch? (I'm kind of assuming so, since it's running... but I just wondered whether there was a whole diff/integration step...
