UniBeast: Install OS X Yosemite on Any Supported Intel-based PC

Article: UniBeast: Install OS X Yosemite on Any Supported Intel-based PC The Award Bios part is basically who makes the BIOS - sort of.. If you go into the BIOS it will often say Award, Phoenix, etc somewhere.. The 5 or 6 series part has to do with the Intel chipset. For example a P55...

Mavericks works great until Software update kills it.

Hi all, Hope someone has a suggestion for me to repair this, because I'm stumped. I have had Snow Leopard, Lion, and Mountain Lion all running perfectly on this system until now: Asus P7P55D i5 750 12GB DDR3 OCZ Vertex4 SSD 256GB and 3 HDs (no fusion drive) SSD Connected to Marvell...

I AM ABOUT TO GIVE UP ON HACKINTOSHS ITS BEEN 3 MONTHS!!!

I have a friend that had a similar setup that worked/acted flaky.. he has 16GB RAM and one of his 4GB modules was bad, but not detected as bad by the BIOS during POST. Never overclocked or anything. It would work for a while then once it started actually addressing memory on that module get a KP...

IDE HD not appearing after fresh Mountain Lion install

possibly not the best solution for you, but you could do one of the following: Put the drive in a USB-IDE enclosure and plug it externally Use a USB-IDE adapter internally Use a SATA-IDE bridge board and connect it to a free SATA port.

Welcome to the new HP Probook 4530s Subforum :)

Just Atheros wifi works on them. Also the BIOS is locked from the factory to only support certain HP ID'd wifi modules. I think there is an unlocked BIOS floating around, but its easier if you can find one that comes with the Atheros card to start with. I got lucky and where I work has several...

Only Have USB 3.0 Ports. HELP!

If you re-download Lion from the app store, it will download 10.7.4 that you can use UniBeast to make a new USB boot drive with. I am not sure if this includes the new goodies for the new MBP or not integrated but I was able to use it to install on a Z77 board and the USB 3.0 intel ports work...

My screen is black when I boot on battery

F10 is the key to get into the HP BIOS. Just turn it on and keep hitting F10 while the HP logo is on the screen and you should see a "F10: BIOS Setup" flash on the screen then drop you in.

    Hp 4530s + second screen

Mine doesn't sleep and I don't use any app for it. All I do is hit the power button to turn it on then immediately close the lid.. Its at work and i need it awake all the time to connect remotely so it never sleeps if its on.

Only Have USB 3.0 Ports. HELP!

Asus N56 is also a notebook, so not sure where front panel ports would be.. :D My experiences with MacOS running on notebooks has been pretty much a fail except for the Probook 4530s, and that only works thanks to Blueking and Tonymac.. Desktops, I have had fairly good luck if I look around...

Only Have USB 3.0 Ports. HELP!

My only thought is a USB 2.0 expresscard, and get to Chimera with the Unibeast flash drive in the USB 3.0 slot, then move it to the 2.0 card and refresh (or use 2 flash drives). Then again it may not work at all either..
