Yes, the new keyboards ARE the same as the new 'MacBook' models, just as tony said. They just aren't the same as the new MacBook Pro models, which is what you're referring to.

DanRegueira and Beacon101, In your BIOS settings, check that XHCI mode is ENABLED. I'm not sure if that is what fixed mine or not, but mine is suddenly working. Give that a shot and post back.

You should be able to format the drive or partition during the install of Windows. I haven't installed Windows 8 before, but the option has always been there before in previous versions of Windows.
