Has anyone updated either of these mobo's with Kabylake processors to Catalina? Any significant issues or problems or is it a pretty painless upgrade from High Sierra?

Upgraded to Mojave. Boot from MacOSX installer is back! But this time, I can't find any entries for preboot to remove! So, back to the drawing board.

Ok, this drove me BANANAS for days I tried: 1. sudo rm -rf "/macOS Install Data" No effect. 2. I tried hiding Preboot in GUI of clover. Works great, but maybe too well. I use filevault and can't boot if I hide preboot. So, this option is no bueno 3. Looked at the custom entries above...

Some Updates. I'm still trying to get sleep/hibernation working. currently running 10.13.3 have sys def 18,2. not sure if 18,3 would work better? I switched to using plugin type for power management. Boot options in clover. Darkwake, dart=0, disablegfxfirmware -shikigva. devices...

are you able to sleep it with these settings? I changed mine to these settings and still got stuck in hibernation when I had power nap enabled in system preferences. Turning that off seems to work, but i'm not 100% sure. need to see over the course of a few days

I also have another build with a 8700, otherwise identical. Does sleep work for it for you? Hibernation?

has anyone been able to get sleep working on this board with coffee lake processors?

I just tried this on my GA-z370n-wifi board. i8700k with a Dell U3415W and a Viewsonic VX2476 and dual display worked just fine. Each is connected via HDMI.

I will try to test that this weekend. I have an i3 and an i7 Coffeelake build now and will try this on both of them. My i3-8100 is working well. I just bought components to build 5 more of them next week. I can't get sleep working on either of them though. I am ONLY using integrated...

That's interesting. I haven't tested a Coffee Lake i3. Given what erik found and posted, I will have to decide if I want to proceed with i5 Coffee Lake or build more Kaby Lakes. Will have to look at cost vs performance and see how that stacks up. Right now, I have build 4 i5-7600 Kaby Lakes...

I believe both m.2 are 32Gb I have not tested the USB-C, I will try that soon and report in
