Hi @kgp , I just wanted to let you know that I have managed to make the system work beautifully thanks to your guide. Let me say again what fanstastic job you have done putting it together! Send me your email address, I'd like to buy you a beer!
One question: In your experience with...
Hi guys,
I finally got the installer to behave itself - well, sort of. I am fighting with the payload signature error 6 seconds before Sierra finishes installation. I have tried correcting the date, switching to a different USB port, etc. Any ideas at this point?
Thanks a lot for all your...
Ok, I decided to redo the USB drive again, and there's a new development - The installer runs and I land on the MacOS Utilities screen. When I click on Disk Utilities or Install Mac OS Sierra, nothing happens. Has any of you guys had that issue? @morganb ? So yes, I am closer but still no cigar :)
That's what I thought but when I opened it with Clover Configurator, the FakeCPUID field was blank... Also, I now discovered that my BIOS version dates back to 2015 even though I have bought the computer recently. Perhaps it's worth updating it.
Yes, I copied all as instructed. I am using ptzulu's config plist which I modified to include FakeCPUID 0x040674 (Broadwell-E) as per your guide. go to Advanced\Onboard Devices Configuration\
a) SPDIF Out Type: "HDMI"
b) PCIEX16_2 Slot Bandwidth: "Auto"

Is this the one you mean?

I followed that one too and I ended up in the same place :( It's either the prohibition sign or the error as above...
Hi guys,
I would like to ask if my hardware config actually allows for installing OS X. I followed all the instructions in this guide to the letter and I am getting stuck at the screen attached. I just want to confirm if this is something I am doing wrong or my system is incompatible.
