Hi
I was hoping someone here could point me in the right direction of some strange things I am observing.
Using a Vega 56 that works OOB with just WhatEverGreen (without it, I get black screen during boot).
Following observations during boot:
First resolution I get during boot is the one I...
Hi kgp
Thanks for that.... I do a similar thing but with USBInjectAll and a ssdt. But in the end it does the same thing.
Went away from those port limit patches some time ago already.

Hi kgp
Really appreciate your hard work and dedication! Thanks a lot!
BTW, I also will go for AMD now, just ordered a Red Dragon Vega 56, which is on sale for 399Euros.
I also got tired of waiting for new AMD drivers and looking at some of the Nvidia forums, it seems not even granted that there...
Hi kgp
I replaced the Device part of XHC with this code:
Device (XHC3)
{
Name (_ADR, Zero) // _ADR: Address
Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized) // _DSM: Device-Specific Method
{
If...
well.... all different versions work equally fine.... it was really the USB portion causing the black screen hang on wake.
I would say... good to go.
Best, Michael
So find attached my ssdt for TB3X.
TB3 hot plugging does not fully work, but at least after sleep, the device is back. If I pull the plug from the TBX3 card and replug in it will not appear.
But good enough for me.
Please look at the changed XHC section which will not cause black screen on wake...
So today my TB3 device arrived. So in this way I could also test not only USB capabilities but also TB3 functionality.
As I have mentioned already, I did not change the TB3 portion in the ssdt but the TB3 portion only.
The result now is that TB3 only works when booting, hotplugging functionally...
Good morning kgp
So.... here my findings so far for the Asus TBX3 card:
Thunderbolt 3 portion of the ssdt works perfectly....testing pending with a real TB3 device
XHC3 portion is causing the hang on wake.... specifically the DTGP injection portion
I did some small changes to the XHC3 portion...
Hi kgp
I really have to do some more testing on the weekend.... very busy with other work. I will also further check my previous statement about CPU SVID.
I saw another thing.... since I removed all other ACPI injection except for the TBX3 when I started with my clean EFI folder, I initially...
Hello KGP
ok..... got it working....TBX3 so far stable with your latest ssd.
But this is pure craziness.
I started from scratch, reflashed bios, started with fresh EFI just to be sure.
so..... it all comes down to CPU SVID set to auto in bios.... in all other settings it will not wake from...
What is the USB device / adapter you are using?
I had some serious problems with one external USB adapter so you might also look for the source of the problem there.

Good morning
Did the test with all the updated guidance.
First I changed all my existing ssdt to remove the _PRW dependancy.
Tested and everything worked fine.
Then I inserted the TBX3 card, go into bios, change according to your guidance and boot with the new ssdt.
Everything shows fine in PCI...
Will I hope not.... will with legacy ssdt I mean one of your previous versions of ssdt you used with the TBEX3 card
That is why I asked about previous version ssdt, when you still used the TBEX3
Regards, Michael
I will give it a last try this evening.... will update the firmware (there is actually a update from a year back) and see if it does anything and report back.
If that fails I will go for the Alpine Ridge.
Do you happen to have a legacy SSDT you can share from a older installation?
Vielen Dank...
