TryinG to get this working on the hack book but I'm somewhat stuck at this stage. HDMI audio works in two conditions - unplugging and replugging after boot or I have to use fakepciid.kext and fakepciidinjectHDMIaudio.kext (both kexts cause crash freeze on Monterey). How do I go about setting up...
I only have con2 running HDMI, so I don't need to to add any other Dummy ports correct? Also I was looking at the frame buffer patching guide, how do I get the whatever green dump to parse the frame buffer? That way I can add the busid and remaining frramebuffer properties. I'm absolutely...
Yep removed but the problem persists where as soon as I hit shutdown or restart, the system goes into a panic and I get an error message on boot 'your computer shut down because of a problem'. fakepciid.kext is the issue but I can't solve the HDMI audio problem without it!!!!! lol
Bro massive breakthrough, I got it working, HDMI with sound, no unplugging and replugging. Some new issues tho, I'm using fakepCIID.kext, kabylakeframbebufferinjector.kext and intelhdmiaudio.kext. If I delete the fakepciid.kext, system doesn't boot, I patched using a dump from hackintool and...
Okay so I kinda sorta figured it out, when I boot only alc256 is available, but when I unplug and replug both ALC256 and kabylake HDMI show up. I'm guessing I need to make Kabylake HDMI more permanent with a patch? How do I go about doing this?
Understood. Layout 11 seems to be the correct one for my use case because of the sunrise-point audio with ALC256, and my internal speakers also show up. I saw a dell laptop that got HDMI working through layout 11 and codec commander. Any idea if that would work for me as well?
Okay understood about the ACPI renames, patched accordingly. Testing each id meaning in which section exactly? Is it for alcid=xxx in boot args? Attaching latest EFI patched.
Did exactly what you asked for, no change still it stays the same. One question - when choosing the option to path HPET, I chose the default option C (which is to patch out legacy) correct?. No change tho. Config plist renames? I didn't understand. Updated EFI uploaded.
I'm on opencore Monterey right now and I've managed to get almost everything else working. This is the last piece of the puzzle honestly. I followed the frame buffer patch and managed to get HDMI working. I have sound but only when I boot and unplug and replug the HDMI cable. I used hackintool...
Well I think I finally figured it out. No more pink lines as well with the latest WEG and lilu kexts. I had to enter the BIOS and set DGPU as primary and completely disable the IGPU. And voila it booted just fine.
You can unplug the RX 480 and use the HDMI port on the motherboard to get it to work. I have the exact same problem (i7-3770 + RX 480 8gb). The RX 480 is causing the issue on Catalina and I'm trying to find a fix. The 480 works well on Mojave tho it's a strange problem.
So did you actually get it working or did you find a fix? I'm still on mojave and I had the same problem as you with an i7-3770 and an rx 480. I tried different aptio fixes as well but to no avail.
I have a combination of an i7-3770 and a GTX 1050ti. If I enable the IGPU and set it to primary in BIOS, all I get is a blinking cursor while trying to boot clover. It seems like the only way to use IGPU is to remove the 1050ti manually. If I set the IGPU to always enabled and 1050ti as primary...
