ASRock Rack EP2C602 Install Guide for Sierra and High Sierra

In my past builds the systems would usually sleep when instructed to. I've been unable to get MacOS to sleep this build at all thus far.

No, neither work. I've not spent much time trying to make it work but I'm not super encouraged by initial results.

Removed, and also you'd use -xcpm_ipi since it's multi-cpu. And yes, this board has the jankiest bios UEFI implementation I've ever come across.

I have another question - in your modified bios you mention you unlock the MSRs. Did you follow someone's guide to perform this task? I'm really struggling to get nvme to boot, even with your modified bioses and the bcfg configuration. Bcfg shows the drive but for whatever reason in the bios...

Appreciate the reply. I was having trouble getting PM to work. I finally managed by flagging every option with ssdtprgen (including logical processors).

See this thread, it explains how to alter the vendor ID so that the network card works natively. https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/asrock-rack-ep2c602-install-guide-for-sierra-and-high-sierra.245421/

    BCM943602CS Combo Card For Hackintosh

I have the exact same issue. My WTXUP card was working correctly in Yosemite. Upon boot it powers up, connects, disconnects, connects, disconnects, then stays powered off.

Thanks for the excellent guide teamawesome! I have a question regarding your power management - is XCPM enabled on your hackintosh? I've been struggling to get it to enable in High Sierra.

Hmm, Nullcpupowermanagement made no difference. Also tried cpus=1

Panic Reboot - IOACPIFamily AppleACPIPlatform Fault CR2, Dual LGA2011

I'm probably really stupid and need Nullcpupowermanagement.kext for this socket/cpu combo. Let me give that a go.

Disable wake for one USB port

Using DSDT edits, is it possible to disable wake for one usb port? If so, how would one achieve this? I have an instant wake problem on USB 3.0 ports only. If I could disable wake on these ports I would have exactly what I need (USB wake via USB 2.0 bluetooth, no wake from USB 3.0 ports).

    Struggling to compile DSDT

Looks like I'm a dummy again, using an old Maciasl instead of yours. It does indeed compile with a boat load of warnings. Now I can start working on my USB3.0 instant wake.

    Struggling to compile DSDT

Hmm, I'm seeing compile errors. I've selected ACPI spec 5.1. Here's the issues I'm seeing. I must be missing something.

Sigh, I'm a dummy and meant to post this in the DSDT section of the site. Would a mod kindly move it for me?
