Hello,
I've been working on new hack on Asrock Z790 PG-ITX/TB4, so far everything works fine, derived from work from @CaseySJ. My only concerns is enabling intel killer E3000, it said driver is loaded and attached to apple driver, however traffic can't flow through it. Enabling manually at...
Raptor Lake (13th Gen) and Alder Lake (12th Gen) is socket compatible, same P+E Core architecture.
Somehow the MacOS is able to identify correctly with the 12th Gen and behaving differently on 13th Gen. I understand this is MacOS was never designed to work with this processor, I'm just curious...
Hello,
I dropped in new processor i9 13900KF into existing Z690i/12900K, EFI/BIOS, P+E core are enable with HT is enable too. However the Mac said Hyper-Threading is disable, anyone seen the same thing?
My rig hasnt been able to sleep for a long time, I follow CaseySJ to the letter and somehow mine can't sleep. I was able to resolve the problem by adding MCHC definition to definition. Now sleep is working fine, all fans and RGB lighthing are off and PSU enter sleep mode as well...
In my case, I need it. If I dont put the condition, it wont boot. I think there is conflict of EC0 in my case. I would say it's safer to put the condition in place.
Thanks
Hello,
You can remove EC0 by adding this line on your SSDT-EC-USBX.
External (_SB_.PC00.LPCB.EC0_, DeviceObj)
If (CondRefOf (\_SB.PC00.LPCB.EC0))
{
If (((CondRefOf (\_SB.PC00.LPCB.EC0._HID) && CondRefOf (\_SB.PC00.LPCB.EC0._CRS)) && CondRefOf (\_SB.PC00.LPCB.EC0._GPE)))...
Yes, the current Public Beta is not as stable as Monterey, too many crashes. Some of the apps are not working well with it; i.e., Parallels desktop. If this is your main rig, stick with the proven one; if you have spare, you can test run it.
Solved, thanks. I need to update RestrictEvents.kext to latest version 1.0.9 to get rid memory notification too.
I was curious as to what is 3841 -> 0x0F01 (8-28 cores xeon w), turned out it is processor type from this...
I had KP on Kingston KC3000 when running Monterey 12.4, Asus Z690i and i7-12700KF, then I switched to PNY CS3140. So far, I use the following SSD, WD SN770, SN880, SN750, PNY CS3140 and PNY CS3040, no KP related to SSD.
This is core i9-12900K and Corsair DDR5 5200MHz memory. Single thread performance is only few points apart. The multi-thread on the other hand, scale with the core count, hence much higher (12700 - 12 core, 12900 - 16 core). It will be interesting to see how 13900K perform, 8 P core + 16 E core.
No I didn't, turned out the bug is on me :).
The CPUFriend.kext was updated to 1.2.6 and I generate the CPUFriendDataProvider using CPUFriendFriend.
The result was halving the performance.
what parameters that you used to generate the CPUFriendDataProvider?
Performance is superb, can rock...
