Just a big and heartfelt THANK YOU to the community!

Hi guys :D I simply just had to express my big appreciation of the fact that someone brighter than me are willing to help us noobs building- and running something that we would not be able to do ourselves. Seriously. You guys are freaking AWESOME and I hope that this community will live on for...

    Samsung 830 slow (read) speed?

[Solved!] Samsung 830 slow (read) speed? SOLVED!! Thanks mate, you sorta gave me the answer there. I changed my SATA-ports from the Marvell-one (which I had it connected to before) to "the other one" and gained like 100mb/s reads, which still isn't 520mb/s, but I feel it's acceptable now. Here...

    YouTube videos won't load/freezes

Found a solution, a rather simple one: I just had to re-run MultiBeast after updating to 10.8.2. Now everything works great (still have to figure out why I have slow Sata III reads, though).

    Samsung 830 slow (read) speed?

[SOLVED!] Samsung 830 slow (read) speed? Hi guys I've got my first Hackintosh running (G5-mod) and everything is great. Everything besides Youtube-playback and SSD performance. I believe I'm supposed to reach around 500mb/s read speed with a Samsung 830, but I'm only getting about 300 running...

    Cheapest way to triple monitors?

Hello! :D I'm almost done with my power mac G5-mod - It's going to be hooked up to a 27" and a 20" Cinema Display. As far as I understand, the HD4000 will be able to drive these two monitors. I'm considering adding a third monitor, though, and therefore I'm wondering what compatible graphics...

(Stupid) Noob-friendly power button wiring for powermac G5?

Thanks  I might as well do it, though, I seem to get the gist of this now. What cables will I need to connect to the LED, having connected the firewire ground to the power button? Will I need to split the ground and hook it up to the LED or can I just connect pin 14 (LED) and that's it? :)

(Stupid) Noob-friendly power button wiring for powermac G5?

Hi guys Thanks for your answers! :D In the meantime I went out and bought a soldering kit, and now I got the power button and presumably the USB-port working (I'm testing them on an old mobo, power fires the thing up and a connected USB-card reader turns on its LED - Does this mean that it...

(Stupid) Noob-friendly power button wiring for powermac G5?

Hi guys  I know that this must seem like an incredibly stupid question to some of you, but bear with me, I'm quite a noob (I've only assembled one PC before, and that was pretty much plug&play). I've sort of given up on making a fully functional wiring (Firewire, USB, headphones) - My...
