Thanks. Works with dual monitors out of the box now! Still not able to rotate both (1200x1920) monitors though (tried hdmi + dvi and displayport + dvi). When attempting this and rebooting, one monitor stays white (only shows the mouse pointer on that monitor). Unplugging and replugging cable...
Have been using it for 2 days. Have not found a single new feature I would actually use. It is a disappointment is that the fullscreen feature in a dual monitor setup is still unusable. Nice to get HD 4000 working and be able to use a vanilla kernel though.
thanks a lot dta!
The first and second strings worked for me (GA-Z77X-UD5H with i7 3770s) on dual monitors connected via hdmi and DVI. Awesome to see the power consumption went down even further (-30W) after taking the discrete GPU out.
Just Chimera without injection works for one monitor...
Full screen on dual/triple monitors is useless in Lion. Apparently this will be better supported in Mountain Lion. See https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3196329?start=0&tstart=0
Thanks!
I have some minor issues with:
2 front usb ports not working sometimes
SSD not at full speed yet (see OP)
I am waiting to try the HD4000. Otherwise, everything I need works very well and I use it daily for work. The Geekbench score is 13,500, it is completely silent and consumes a...
Update: Sleep and wake is now 100% working using a MediaLink MUA-BA3 Bluetooth 4.0 adapter and a kext.
see: http://tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=2 ... 29#p423929
@bdoooh Sorry, I neglected to mentioned WOL was turned off in BIOS (I updated the OP). I had exactly the same problem as you caused...
@dta
Great! Thank you! I accidentally bought an unsupported Medialink MUA-BA3 Bluetooth 4.0 (NOT the 3.0 which (helpfully...) has the exact same model number) and it was not even recognized.
I applied your kext with kextbeast and rebooted. To my pleasant surprise the adapter was now visible in...
I have been doing some troubleshooting for the sleep/wake issue I was experiencing. Maybe this will benefit somebody.
I am using F7 bios with the a 10.7.4 Lion SSD connected to a Marvell Controller (had issue with Vertex 4 on Intel).
Sleep didn't work after installing BridgeHelper 5.0. It...
I am not using a DSDT. My money is on it having to do with the graphics card (but that's just a wild guess). I'm on F7 and you on F5. I guess that is another possible cause.
I'll see when 10.7.5 or 10.7.6 is released and I can start using the HD4000.
Hi Ronald,
My build is quite similar.
Have you tried taking out the wifi/bluetooth (combined?) card and using only the USB dongle? I'm using the tiny Sabrent USB bluetooth dongle which works well natively (I'm using it with the Apple Wireless Keyboard and Trackpad).
I'm not using a DSDT...
Awesome! The BIOS setting did the trick. Thanks a lot kingkahn!
I was hoping sleep/wake would also magically be fixed but that issue is still outstanding.
Removing LAN(s) did not fix it for me. (I had already removed the LAN adapters).
Also, unchecking all options in Energy Saver settings (except put HDD to sleep), disabling wifi (in OSX) and unplugging bluetooth right after shutdown does not prevent it from waking itself up after a few seconds.
