I've just noticed this must not be related to sleep/wake, because when the computer awake and I turn off the monitor and on again, I also have to replug the HDMI in order to get an image on screen. And behaviour also does not happen when on 30hz mode.
It seems like `mDNSResponder` is trying to wake up my computer every 2h:

With the following setup, every time my machine wakes up, the screen is black and I have to unplug and replug the HDMI to wake the screen
macOS 10.15.6
Monitor: LG 27UK850 4k/60hz connected via HDMI 2.0 cable
Graphics card: Vega 56
Is strange thing is, the screen wakes up correctly when I...
@shuhung which ITX board? I'm using a Asrock X99E-ITX
Trying in 10.14.5 beta 3 with the iMacPro1,1 SMBIOS, noAGPM.kext and "disable AGDP" kext patch, clock still does not go below 1000mhz :/
This is very interesting @shuhung!! do you have any idea what could be different in one motherboard vs another? I assume your EFI folder is different for each. Any difference there that could affect this?
I will review your EFI folder you posted earlier and I will report back my findings.
If your hard exhibits that behaviour then it's definitely not ok, that doesn't happen on Windows because the card idles at 300mhz and runs much cooler, so it never reaches 55ºC and the fans never spin up...
I'm seriously thinking replacing this card with a Vega 56/64 that I can tweak from macos.

There are multiple ways you can get wifi and bluetooth working in your hackintosh:
USB dongle
PCI/PCIe card
mini PCI-e card
Most of the PCI-based cards will support both wifi and bluetooth (I haven't seen any that supports only one, but they might exist). USB...
Hello,
I have the same card, and have the same behaviour. I believe night be just how the card works, and it does the same thing when running windows.
Did you find any solution?
I've installed 1.14.5 beta 2 and my clock speeds still definitely dont go below 1000mhz. Would you mind sharing with me your EFI folder? I'm sure it must be a config issue. For starters I'm using the MacPro6,1 SMBIOS while you seem to be using the iMacPro1,1
EDIT: Also, does your card go up to...
Could you post the output of this command in your system?
ioreg -l |grep \"PerformanceStatistics\" | cut -d '{' -f 2 | tr '|' ',' | tr -d '}' | tr ',' '\n'|grep 'Temp\|Fan\|Power\|Clock\|Utilization'
I believe the issue is macos runs the card at a constant higher frequency. My card (Shapphire RX570 itx) does 300-1240 mhz, but I havent seen it go below 700mhz in macos idling.
Can everybody run this command to check if their card idles at the minimum frequency/power?
ioreg -l |grep...
