[PRO TIP] Get better WiFi/BT Signal when using PCIe BT/WiFi Card in a Tower Case

Hi I bought this card "fenvi T919 PCI-E WiFi Adapter Continuity Handoff" along with 4 * RP-SMA 2 meter cables, antennas was placed 6 cm apart (1 wavelength to avoid WIFI signal to hit same antenna) My test showed 70/70 mbp, which match my ISP subscription

    After change to OpenCore 0.64 and Big Sur 11.1 things changed a bid, most numbers dropped and occasionally even fan stops ioreg -l |grep \"PerformanceStatistics\" | cut -d '{' -f 2 | tr '|' ',' | tr -d '}' | tr ',' '\n'|grep 'Temp\|Fan\|Clock\|%\|Power' "Device Utilization %"=0 "Fan...

The watts you measured on computer socket (110/220 VAC) has nothing to do with the watts calculated on Graphics Cards there mostly calculate watts based on 12V e.g 12 colts *12 amps = 144 watts. Find more on these to links https://www.geeks3d.com/20190613/graphics-cards-power-tdp-tgp/...

In the 4th post you will see factory burned in values and a medium value is 65°, you should not worry, also the Watts are based on the DC power used in the card, properly a combination of 5v/12v. Also take a look at the POWERTUNE on same image. There are max temps burned into card there will...

I know my config.plist points to DSDT.aml, but I never created one. Might be a leftover from previous versions of clover configurator i used.

Yes, if you use same ports - that is USB3_34 for front USB and the 4 standard on Backplate. USB-C and USB-A on backplate next to each other, will be working too

Thank you, I appreciate it, That will happen if a friend ask me to build one :-) I added 32GB RAM in May to solve some performances issues I had, when running many VM fusion instances. Also the USB change made it more stable. (had some issues when using CCC to backup to USB drives as those...

Are you 100% sure that resolution are the same, Actually Settings/Display says "Using a scaled resolution may affect performance" so try play with Larger Text vs. More Space

Most GPU's will be fine below 85°, chips are designed for max temperatures like 109°. My dual screen setup where I scale down text a little use 140W, turning 1 screen of - it only use 62W. temperatures are between 48° and 56° degrees celcius. Main goal should be to keep overall average...
