I was using dd with previously prepared MBR and GPT files.
I actually managed to solve my problem. I was playing with hybrid MBR but no matter what I did Windows 7 was always getting stuck on booting logo. To make it work I would have to reinstall it with hybrid MBR present. But I didn’t want...
My computer is pretty old and doesn't have a UEFI so I have to keep MBR to boot Windows.
I always have Windows and macOS on the same SSD. When macOS started to check if partition is GPT during update I would temporarily change it.
So when I was installing Catalina I changed partition scheme to...
How did you manage to go to second stage of HS installation with MacPro5,1 system definition?
Now BaseSystem.dmg is not extracted and it's not possible to remove AppleTyMCEDriver.kext from installer.
I have been trying to use Clover to inject modified kext but with no luck.
All the debug flags are set to false. I only activate debug=0x100 using space and selecting it for one time boot.
I have been using MacPro3,1 since forever. I had to switch to 5,1 last year for obvious reasons. The only problem that I have with 5,1 is AppleTyMCEDriver.kext. Before I simply...
I always have been able to see KPs but in High Sierra installer (second faze) after KP a bunch of messages popping up with "Waiting for remote debugger connection" at the end. So I have to record the screen to see what came before. Am I missing something or is this normal for MacPro5,1.
Today I changed my hackintosh from MacPro3,1 to iMac14,2. El Capitan reboots and works fine. But Sierra installer throws kernel panic. When I disable Nvidia injection installer goes for few minutes and reboots (which is OK because there is no injection). I have 9600GT.
So there could be a problem witch FakeSMC not being put into cache because it is outside S/L/E. DummyHDA is in right folder but is not signed. Does not signed kext can be cached with SIP enabled? And what about Clover dynamic patching on boot, is it working despite SIP?
...OK I keep it disabled.
I have Clover loading FakeSMC.kext from EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.11 and I am patching audio using <key>KextsToPatch</key>.... and my custom DummyHDA.kext in S/L/E. Can I enable SIP and be done with it until 10.12 or does Clover needs SIP to be disabled, to be able to patch AppleHDA on boot?
I have updated my signature.
I have working AppleHDA.kext that enables my audio, but I thought that Clover would be able to inject it automatically without me using KextBeast.
