A Beginner's Guide to Creating a Custom USB SSDT

I definitely used the template you provided; however, after compiling in MaciASL, it was changed to what you see...don't know. Yes, I'm using a G5 case so am assuming the physical front panel USB port is not usb3 compatible. As you mentioned, the Z370 motherboard has 5 physical USB ports (6...

A Beginner's Guide to Creating a Custom USB SSDT

Thanks...I think I got it now. I started over with the correct PLRP and got it working! 1) I was using IOREG 3.0.2, didn't know it was wonky 2)I had mis-identified HS 13&14 with 05&06. HS13,14 are the USB2. HS12 is where I connect my G5 front panel power switch and USB port so it's...

Hi Utter, I was wondering if you had a chance to read my post, #138, and peek at the files attached. Thanks.

A Beginner's Guide to Creating a Custom USB SSDT

OK. I finished it and compiled with no errors. IOReg is not showing what I configured; it's showing HS 1-14 and SS01. Prior to this SSDT, it was showing HS01-14 and USR01. When you get a chance, see what I'm missing. BTW, I have noticed a change: prior to creating the SSDT, there was always a...

A Beginner's Guide to Creating a Custom USB SSDT

Hi Utter, I'm redoing my ssdt following your guide and have hit a stumbling block...I think I have configured the the hs ports correctly but now I'm not sure where to go with the ss ports. I have hs 5, 6, 10(usb internal header for BT/wifi),12 (usb int. header for front panel), 13, 14. My ss...

<< Solved >> Request for help re: Booting post Unibeast install

I think you are supposed to run the multibeast while still booted from the usb drive.

The audio fails to return from sleep mode

Leave those kexts (lilu, weg and applealc) in your /other folder, they can be ‘stored’ there and accessed when needed.

The audio fails to return from sleep mode

I think the two options, other than clover/kexts/other, are system/library/extensions and library/extensions. It’s pretty important that you get the AppleALC in the correct folder. On my system, it’s in the L/E folder and is working well and stable. Make sure you don’t have it in S/L/E as well.

    Where is your applealc kext?

The audio fails to return from sleep mode

I had the same issue after updating to 14.4; I found even though I had the latest version of applealc kext in the clover/kext/other folder, there was an older version in my /library/extensions. I kextbeasted the latest version to /L/E and it seems to be working now.

<< Solved >> Asus Z370 P Prime rebooting when shutdown

Seems like someone said fakesmckext and virtualsmckext don't play nice together...I noticed them in your kexts/other folder.
