You said in your update (the first post) that it doesn't boot to "graphical mode". Do you know why it doesn't boot? (could be a stupid question but knowing the reason why it doesn't boot doesn't always give a solution)
What do you mean with graphical mode? It doesn't reach the desktop? I partitioned my HDD and will test Monterey. I'm curious what's changed and just to try it. If I use the installer, does it install? Or do you mean you can't get to the GUI of the installer?
Well it doesn't recognize the battery. I'll put everything together again (disconnected CMOS battery that might be it, NVMe drive and Wi-Fi card to be able to get easier to the battery) also, it now always boots to EZ Flash. Again, at least something.
I got in the BIOS recovery mode or so. Got into EZ Flash. Shuts down after I select the BIOS file... Just like when flashing before. It restarted and now is in EZ Flash again. Strange, but at least something.
Update: selected file again and again shut down.
Nothing... I don't have a flasher. Of course I have backups, but they're useless now. The thing is, it happened during an official update. I did nothing. (literally, I was just watching) I'll try to contact Asus, but they're asleep now (timezones).
So I had a BIOS update like an hour ago. It was at 0% when the laptop suddenly shut down, was connected to charger and all, just out of nowhere. Now it won't start anymore. Black screen and turning off after some time. Removed CMOS battery, battery, all. Nothing.
