i'm not sure if this is a driver problem. i use .CR2 raw images normally on GTX 750 Ti 2gb with NVIDIA WEB and CUDA drivers. really, some view bugs are displays at a raw image preview some time in the Photoshop, but these bugs disappear after rotate the image. mac os quick-view work correctly...

you can load system without nvidia drivers. just disable "use NVIDIA" option in a loader or you can just booted from flash drive with setup OS, whiout any NVIDIA settings

i have same problem on P5G41C-M LX (ICH7) and plextor m7v in 2017 with using only SATA ports and setting them in "enhanced" (tested on El Capitain and Sierra ), disk utility says that my solid drive is NO solid drive. :(
