[Guide] HackrNVMeFamily co-existence with IONVMeFamily using class-code spoof

Well I'm back at it again after taking a week to organize a non-related project. I believe I realized that the problem was user error for not executing all of RehabMan's very detailed instructions properly. When all else fails, go back and read post #1 again (or so "they" say). Thanks again...

[Guide] HackrNVMeFamily co-existence with IONVMeFamily using class-code spoof

Done. It boots now, but it broke my Nvidia Web Driver (even manually selected Nvidia Web Driver in Clover at boot up). Tried switching it from OS X driver to Nvidia via the Nvidia preference panel, but it defaulted back to OS X display driver after restart. Note that I am currently using...

[Guide] HackrNVMeFamily co-existence with IONVMeFamily using class-code spoof

Will do. I will need a couple of hours to work on a non related but mandatory project, and will get back on it afterwards (I'll have a couple of hours until sleep comes calling). Thanks again for your help.

[Guide] HackrNVMeFamily co-existence with IONVMeFamily using class-code spoof

I got it working. Just booted from 850 EVO into Squid OS X RAID 10 Array (the mirror adds stability to the setup, and my write speed is still plenty fast for me). I'm somewhat disappointed my 16x PCIe socket seems to max out just a hair over 4 GB/sec though o_O.. or it could be the max...

[Guide] HackrNVMeFamily co-existence with IONVMeFamily using class-code spoof

This is the 960x1 OS X setup via the Carrier Board; once I get this setup working, then I will revert back to the 960x4 OS X setup. Question: Your HackrNVMeFamily spoof is supposed to make it unnecessary to inject Pike's IONVMeFamily patches manually into config.plist, correct? Or do I have...

[Guide] HackrNVMeFamily co-existence with IONVMeFamily using class-code spoof

No, no additional progress was attempted since sleep was calling.. Then work. Now am back, so I'll proceed to reinstall Sierra implementing the setup mentioned in my prior post, and will reedit this post in an hour or two with ioreg if I see you have been active. Thanks again for your time &...

[Guide] HackrNVMeFamily co-existence with IONVMeFamily using class-code spoof

Thanks! That makes perfect sense; i'll be sure to do that next time. I'll also go ahead and reimplement my ideal 2017 iMac setup w/ Canadian Squid 960 Pro x 4 RAID 0 Array (feels better booting off of Canadian hardware than eating Canadian bacon.. just saying) w/ 850 EVO serving Clover...

"By not publicly discussing you are depriving others of solutions to problems they may encounter." <- No, that would violate forum rules, which I am trying to avoid.

[Guide] HackrNVMeFamily co-existence with IONVMeFamily using class-code spoof

I was referring to the same destination you specified; I apologize for using completely incorrect terminology in my description. I did attach my ioreg, but I don't like leaving those around for more than a couple of hours since it reveals a little too much unique information for my comfort...

[Guide] HackrNVMeFamily co-existence with IONVMeFamily using class-code spoof

RehabMan, Do you have any other suggestions for me, or are you ignoring me because I neglected to do something really simple that you are waiting for me to discover myself? I changed the class-code to #class-code, attached ioreg as you requested, but never received a response back. Your...

Did you remember to save your SSDT-NVMe-Pcc file with the proper .aml extension? Seems you used the default .dsl extension, which would explain why it didn't work for you and why your file size was different.
