Probably SSDT. Run MultiBeast and install SSDT for your CPU.
[Customisation -> Boot Options -> SSDT -> Your CPU]
Also, on topic, I went up by ~300 in geek bench.
I got -partially- my way around that... Changing the default icon to a customised one.
Generic Folder icon is somehow corrupted -still- so everytime I create a new folder, I can only open it by clicking on the name (text), Icon is click-through.

Got the exact same thing on Z68XP-UD3-iSSD-F8, i7-2600K. Tried about everything.
Interesting thing is, only Apple applications icons are missing (Safari, Mail, Contacts, iTunes, App Store, System Preferences) in the dock.
