I have nearly the same build as yours (i5-6600K, M5, 16GB DDR4, GTX 980Ti). I was able to use the FakeCPUID patch (in clover) to go all the way up to com.apple.applesfcompressiontypezlib load succeeded after which it gets stuck. I think power management loads after this and hence it doesn't work...
