    [Solved] Uefi Installation unavailable in UEFI , Clover , El Capitan , Z97X UD3H , i74790k

Uefi Installation unavailable in UEFI , Clover , El Capitan , Z97X UD3H , i74790k Another option: use a spare SATA hdd as the installer. Load clover and el capitan installer there and boot to it. Then install to your primary drive per the instructions. Maybe Unibeast can install to the spare hdd?

    [Solved] Uefi Installation unavailable in UEFI , Clover , El Capitan , Z97X UD3H , i74790k

Uefi Installation unavailable in UEFI , Clover , El Capitan , Z97X UD3H , i74790k This might be completely unrelated, but I had issues with creating my USB stick in the first place. The EFI partition wasn't being written properly. Maybe your EFI partition is also having issues. My fix was to...

[Solved] "Prohibited" or "Stop" sign when booting USB installer

"Prohibited" or "Stop" sign when booting USB installer (Also "waiting on root device" and "createports: ports limit reached") It was a USB issue. I've partially fixed the problem by following advice in this thread. Seems like it might be similar to Rehabman's FixPCIID, but maybe easier to...

    Cannot boot OS X Installer i7 3770K 660Ti

Thanks RajRicardo - I thought about trying that, but found this thread: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/308325-guide-1011-full-speed-usb-series-89-keeping-vanilla-sle/ I copied the 8 series kext into the EFI/Clover/Kexts/10.11 folder (in the EFI partition) and most of my USB started...

    Cannot boot OS X Installer i7 3770K 660Ti

RajRicardo, I see that you have a similar problem. Basically the last row of your screen says "Still waiting on root device". It's hard to see because of the garbled text. If you read the verbose text before the screen gets garbled, you'll probably see an error about "ports limit reached" and...

[Solved] "Prohibited" or "Stop" sign when booting USB installer

Progress! Sort of... Breaking this into a new thread, as it seems like a slightly different cascade of problems than everyone else. 1. Garbled text with a "prohibited" sign on boot. This happens whether I'm using IGFX (onboard Intel graphics) or the 650TI BOOST. At this point, I'm convinced...

Big List of Solutions for El Capitan Install Problems

ammulder, i've tried booting from the integrated graphics, but that's a whole different can of worms (basically it didn't work). suffice to say, i re-installed the nvidia card, reset the cmos, and went back to having IGFX disabled. Also, if I'm not able to boot into the usb drive successfully, I...

    Cannot boot OS X Installer i7 3770K 660Ti

Thanks Ammulder, but already tried. I've tried unplugging everything except the monitor, ethernet, keyboard, and usb thumbdrive. Still stops at the "prohibited" symbol and garbled text.
