I can boot into my macOS SSD by using an external HDD that I set up with a Unibeast High Sierra installer. I boot into the external HDD, then I use the clover bootloader on the HDD to boot into my macOS volume, and everything works great! However, when I type "mount -uw /" it says operation not...
Interesting article! however I'm not sure if it's related to my current issue. I'm going to try and take a video of the issue later. However, the SSD is recognized by the BIOS, and I may run a hard drive test later to see if the drive is kaput.

I've been using the computer in this configuration for months now, but the other day, HWmonitor showed my CPU temps were very hot, so I shut the computer...
My apologies for not seeing this right away, it's been a crazy month so far.
I was using a 1050ti with the factory PSU that comes with the 8300. The CMT models don't require low profile cards in most scenarios, the XFX housing on my RX-480 was just a little big and almost caused issues, but I...
Great to hear from you!
Glad it all went well. I’m using HWmonitor to check my temps and voltages and such.
As for the PSU, I don’t really find PSU fans to be particularly loud, so I went with an actively cooled PSU. However it is up to you! Be sure to post pictures if you decide to modify...
Glad I could be of help!
The only modifications I did to the case was drill two holes so I could secure the PSU in the case. It fit in the case just fine, except for the bolt holes not lining up. I’ll see if I can snap some pics tonight!
UPDATE: Check below for updates on this configuration
Hey all! So a while back, I ditched my Mac Mini and decided to try my hand at Hackintoshing.
I went for an HP-8300 with the i7-3770 that I found on eBay for $75.
I used a GTX 1050 Ti, 16GB of RAM, and a pair of Samsung 850 Pro SSD's; one...
Ok so, to start off, here is a list of specs:

Worked just fine earlier, but then I re-installed drivers for graphics card to try and solve an unrelated issue.
After restarting the computer and booting back up...
Oh that's right, I forgot that VGA support was dropped.
I don't think my card has a DVI output. I'm currently using a DP to VGA cable, so the computer and card thinks it's going to a DisplayPort input on the monitor. Would it make a difference if I used a DP to DVI cable?
Sorry to resurrect an old post, but after installing the FV-T919 into my HP 8300 CMT, my wifi is recognized by the system flawlessly, which is great!
However, the Bluetooth still won't work even though I have attached the card to the "Media 2" header on the motherboard. Also, my wifi connection...
Hey all, this is my first post, so bear with me!
I've been running my current setup for about 6 months and I'm super happy with it!
