[Solved] IOProviderClass error USB install / No partition via upgrade option.

Hi, Thanks for the reply, sorry I didn't come back to you yesterday, I was leak testing a new custom loop so the machine was off. After some messing around and for other people's reference should they have similar hardware, I thought I would add the fix. I added slide=0 dart=0 and darkwake=0...

[Solved] IOProviderClass error USB install / No partition via upgrade option.

Hello all, So I've had the previous versions of OSX on the hardware working, all the way back to Yosemite, however High Sierra seems to want to put up a fight. 1) I have the 5.18GB file downloaded, upon running the install for direct upgrade it says that it needs to reboot, however upon reboot...

Upgrade from Sierra to High Sierra, missing boot option

True, I made a carbon copy of the working partition and backed up the config.plist should anything go wrong. Obviously these things can take some time to configure correctly and it's working nice at the moment.. I just fancy the upgrade as my actual 2016 MBP is running High Sierra.

Thanks for the reply, it initially downloaded the bloody 19mb file but I read the fix and it's currently 5.18GB in size.

Upgrade from Sierra to High Sierra, missing boot option

Hello all! So.. the title says it all really. I have installed the latest version of Clover, copied the apfs file and ran the install from 'Applications' it then wants to reboot, upon rebooting I am not presented with the install option when clover loads. Any way to fix this rather than...

    Wireless NIC Drivers for Sierra

Hey, Just trying to fix the remaining few bugs with this Hackintosh and I'll then put together a guide for anyone with the same or similar laptop. I'm using the MSI GE72 2QE and I believe it uses an intel based chipset on the wireless, however it doesn't appear to work out of the box and I've...

Another osxAptioFix2Drv error on x99, stumped.

Thanks for the reply! =) That file allows me to get past that error (sometimes) it's either fully random or it depends on the boot flags I use. When it does allow me past that stage I'm getting stuck on the PCI Begin stage and neither npci=0x2000 or npci=0x3000 seem to work to overcome this...

Can't believe Sierra works.. but a few small issues with GFX and Sound

Got it all working using a mixture of two threads on here which were very helpful.

Can't believe Sierra works.. but a few small issues with GFX and Sound

Fair one, it's a shame but hey ho. We can take advantage of more than 7mb of memory though using the onboard chipset? As that's all that shows up in "about my mac" seems quite laggy at the moment like acceleration isn't on.

Can't believe Sierra works.. but a few small issues with GFX and Sound

Hello guys. Much to my surprise Sierra installed without any hiccups on my Laptop which is the MSI GE72 2QE. Big issues: - My GTX 960m doesn't seem to work, I've installed the web driver and the config.plist has the following (found this in another thread) <key>SystemParameters</key>...

Another osxAptioFix2Drv error on x99, stumped.

Hello all, I've been running Yosemite 10.10 on this machine for sometime now. The machine has been perfectly stable but some programs I use no longer support 10.10 and therefore I'm being railroaded into upgrading. To add to this I purchased a 1080TI this week which doesn't seem to have drivers...

Considering updating to SierraOS but looking for some advice.

Hello! I've been running Yosemite 10.10 for sometime now on my current x99 platform but I remember the install process taking a fair amount of time. It's been stable and I've been looking at other projects, however I'm now feeling the need to tinker again! I'm now considering updating, however...
