BCM4360 wifi card - suddenly very slow

Bump. And update: a week later, suddenly my 5G network password works, and the connection is a tiny bit faster, but still significantly lower than before. How do I troubleshoot? I'm thinking of just buying a different Wifi Card and seeing if that helps. L

BCM4360 wifi card - suddenly very slow

Hi, I have had a Rosewill RNX-AC1900PCE card installed in my build since 2018, and it has always worked fine. I'm running OS X 10.13.6. Last week, it began giving me very very slow transfer times (<1mbps download) on my network. The signal appears to be very strong, with very little noise...

    LGA 1155 CPU for a Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H?

Hi, I'm hoping to upgrade my CPU to get faster rendering times for video (HD and 2K in After Effects and Avid Media Composer). I have a pretty old motherboard, a Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H, but I'd love to get a couple more years out of it before replacing it. My current CPU is a Intel Core i5-3570K...

<< Solved >> Black Screen / No BIOS with Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 580

Updating my BIOS version from F3 to F7 did the trick for me, a solution I found in this thread: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/ga-b75m-d3p-wont-post-with-rx-580-installed.266661

    GA-B75M-D3P won't post with RX 580 installed

Just a note that updating my BIOS to F7 did the trick for me too. I don't think Quickflash is a possibility in F3 so I did the DOS boot disk method (posted earlier in the thread, but here it is again: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/how-to-update-your-gigabyte-motherboards-bios.131047/) Just...

    GA-B75M-D3P won't post with RX 580 installed

Hi schmoppa, I'm having word-for-word, the exact same issue you were having with a Sapphire Pulse 580 and my GA-B75M-D3P. It seems like my first step would be to update the BIOS from F3 to F7. You mentioned that you'd managed to get it to work – can you say how? Did you use a Dos boot disk...

<< Solved >> Black Screen / No BIOS with Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 580

Hi, I've been trying to get a Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 580 to work on my GA-B75M-D3P running Os X 10.13.6 and can't get very far at all. If it's just plugged into PCI slot, the computer boots ok, but obviously the card doesn't work. As soon as I plug in the PCI-Power Supply, then when I power...

<< Solved >> Kernel panic booting High Sierra install

Hi guys, I wasn't able to figure out the exact cause, but I got to a workaround. I noticed that the Recovery partition on the drive with High Sierra drive was booting ok, so it wasn't an issue with APFS drives per se. From there, using an external drive, I reformatted the boot disk and did a...

To make sure I understand, like so?

<< Solved >> Kernel panic booting High Sierra install

Thanks for clarifying, P1LGRIM. Same result though. BTW, my Platform ID read as 0x00000000 if that's meaningful. Best, Lev

<< Solved >> Kernel panic booting High Sierra install

I also tried P1LGRIM's suggestion of turning off Intel Graphics and adding Whatevergreen and Lilu. Same panic.

<< Solved >> Kernel panic booting High Sierra install

I tried re-cloning my Sierra backup drive, downloading High Sierra from the app store, and reinstalling. Exact same result. I suspect it's something about my EFI setup but have no idea how to troubleshoot it. If anyone can take a look at my EFI it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks L

<< Solved >> Kernel panic booting High Sierra install

Ok, when it comes to the Radeon, I think it's the power supply. I just have 430 watts, which is below the suggested minimum. And I can see my CPU fan is spinning slow if I power on with it plugged in. Putting that aside until I can get a new PSU, any advice about the booting would be greatly...

<< Solved >> Kernel panic booting High Sierra install

I just added those kexts – with the Radeon installed, my screen goes into sleep mode and I can't even get to BIOS. So, I'll start looking into that. Without the card installed, I seem to get the same panic. Haven't watched it in slow mo yet, but that seems to be what happens. Best, L
