OK so followed the guide to create install usb for Ventura. I wanted to test the Clover install. So ion the guide the link sent me to the latest clover version. However, the newest version does not install clover to my efi partition on the usb. it installs it to the main partition where the...
I know it says experimental for ventura, but I can't even get to the clover menu. I get Boot:1 Error
For some reason clover keeps installing on the usb in the main partition instead of the efi partition. I tried dragging it to the efi, still no go.
What am I missing here? No doubt I've forgotten...
Interesting. I didn't have a problem re-connecting/mounting the drives as in disk utility they were there but greyed out and just clicked mount disk and they were back.
I had done this a few times on the hackintosh with other drives that were running windows ntfs file system. The mechanical hdd...
Just came across a post on a pc site that said sata drives are hot swappable and as long as the drive is ejected it can be removed while the pc is still active and not corrupt the data.
Which makes me wonder why it doesn't work in hackintosh?
Maybe it only applies to hdd? Not ssd's?
I did notice...
Thanks. Yes, I thought it would be OK to just have it power down and eject, but obviously it doesn't work the same as ejecting an external drive or like when windows powers down an internal drive.
OK, so I have A hackintosh running High Sierra On my X99. I also have another internal drive/ssd running windows 10.
In hackintosh my Win10 drive shows up as another drive, so yesterday I ejected it in High sierra just to save it running basicaly and to not click on it by accident. Thought it...
That's all it says to do for clover running high sierra. If I was running open core with Montary or Ventura it says to use XhciPortLimit patch. But I'm not using open core or running Montary or Ventura. So I clicked on the link for High Sierra that shows the patch to add.
What I mean is, when I use hackintool it doesn't work the same as it shows online. When I connect a usb stick it should show highlighted in green. It doesn't.
Using USBmap i get this. Some usb connectiions like ones i labeled 5,6,7 and 8 are all on the same number (31)
even if i put in a usb 3 stick all the same places come up as for usb2. I'm stuck on this. Would be easier if Hackintool worked but I dont know why it doesnt.
OK Ive followed up to the point of using Hackintool, but Hackintool doesnt work as it doesnt show when I connect a USB, so I cannot follow the guid exactly. I can use USBMap but then that will give me exactly the same result Kext as before.
I've done all this, but I had to use USBMap not hackintool,as hackintool doesn't work for me, it won't show when you connect a usb stick. So I did the same thing but just used the other tool to map the ports.
