[Success] Alienware Aurora R6 with 10.12.6

So this morning I've spent a bit of time trying High Sierra. So far, no luck. The app downloads fine and then reboots but then it gets stuck with a black screen and an ever-slowing spinner. Booting into verbose mode shows "com.apple.WindowServer only ran for 0 seconds". From trawling the web I...

I had yes but was still getting Intel-related kernel panics. I've used the config.plist and a few other tweaks from here https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/success-alienware-aurora-r6-with-10-12-6.229567 and it's all working swimmingly now. The only thing that I need to figure out is getting...

[Success] Alienware Aurora R6 with 10.12.6

Yep, count me in! I've just stuck it on a spare 60GB SATA SSD that I had to hand for now so what I'll probably do is stick a better SSD in there and the do a full write up on the process.

Well ignore the last, looks like Windows is perfectly happy with secure boot disabled.

Ah ha! Looks like I was missing AppleALC.kext. Dropped that in and now I have all of my ins and outs. One final question, are you dual-booting Windows? If so, what have you done about secure boot etc.?

And as if by magic! Two 4K monitors in all their splendour! Amazing. Thank you so much. I have ethernet working (think I used 2.2.0) but as you suggested, the audio isn't showing. I see that in your config.plist you've got the AppleHDA kext patch listed and replaced with 9908ec10. Are you...

Thanks for the quick reply! Yep, I have the 1080. CPU is i7 7700k - in fact I think that the system's exactly the same as yours (in fact your post was what inspired me to try this). Your config.plist would be much appreciated, thank you.

[Success] Alienware Aurora R6 with 10.12.6

I have the R6 and have successfully managed to get macOS installed. However, when I start tweaking with Multibeast things start to go wrong. I looked at the guide that you linked to and tried some of the steps there but that didn't seem to help. I get the same kernel panic on Intel graphics as...

    Alienware installation help required

Note that when I tried the EFI from EFI-BootDrive.zip I got a kernel panic like the one mentioned by marosaie here https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/ga-z270x-ud5-i7-7700k-hd-630-16gb-ram-m-2-nvme-alc1220-bcm943602cs.228467/

I'm having problems with this too. I can install without too much trouble but I can't get the Nvidia drivers to work. Unfortunately the bios doesn't allow for disabling the onboard graphics. Any help would be much appreciated.
