Has anyone installed Mavericks with the latest UniBeast on a Dell Insprion 580?

this might sound daft but how do you boot with -x using chameleon? it says to press any key but i don't think my keyboard is working at that stage and so it just tries to boot normally.
try burning iboot-suppoerted to a different disk i had problems with using a cd-rw but it worked fine fron a cd-r.
Also have you changed the setting in your BIOS to boot form cd first and changed the sata settings to ACHI?
is there a default method to fix a kernal panic at boot after new kexts have been installed as sometime i can get back into osx with the iboot disk but without i just get kernal panics.
other than that im going backwards as now i can't get sound to work without inducing a kernal panic at boot...

I was having this issue but burned a new iboot-supported disk on a cd-r instead of cd-rw and have now installed SL and is working just need to fix my networking and work out why the audio breaks after installing the vanilla kernal in multibeast.
Ye i have been using iboot-supported v2 but i have a seen a thread with some people saying they went back to iboot supported v1 and that worked for them so im trying to find that, just giving the nvidia iboot a go aswell.
Edit- install is now done used iboot-supported just need to fix...

Have you had any other OS's on this machine? and how much RAM was being reported.
If you haven't tried any other OS download a live linux distro and see what that says. also as mentioned above check the RAM is installed in the correct slots.
