I think the issue is in 10.12.4 with hdmi.
I had the same problem and fixed it by using a display port to hdmi adapter.
After that I was able to set uhd mode on my TV and enable 4k@60. Although I need to scale down to 1440p to see anything but also has 60hz.
Before that, I had to disable...
the TV won't have dp at all. in order to get 4k@60 on your TV you would need that adapter since TV's generally don't come with dp.
hdmi port on gpu in Mac doesn't work. I have the dp to cdmi adapter hooked up to my cpu and TV and I'm getting 4K@60 with Chrome 4:4:4 as well.
thats literally 2x the performance for a smaller price. ~~400 USD for sli 970. ~~ 340 USD for GTX 1070.
Europe might be a different market if 1070 is ~~ 500 though.
but that gtx 1070 will last you too much longer than that 970.
Seems to match around my GTX 1080. Super weird. seems like the 1080 isn't performing up to par. what is also weird, is the GTX 1070 score higher than GTX 1080 in benches as well.
