But of course... I had not considered IGPU spoofing and acceleration parameters, due to CPU. You are right, thanks for pointing this out.
"If the architecture shows up correctly in About this Mac" another point that I had never really checked.
I will have a look at "User Build template" and...
Hello everyone, hi @UtterDisbelief here is my final configuration for this NUC10i5FNHN. I am using 2 config files, one for setup (USB stick) and another for normal loading (picker) after successfully installing the OS. The main differences are that the "setup" config has almost all of the debug...
Hi @UtterDisbelief been meaning to post but was away from home, thanks again for posting your EFI configuration. I did a line-by-line comparison to mine and discovered the issue being the wrong CPU ID being spoofed. I had 7AYIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA== and it should be 6gYJAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA== as...
Hi @UtterDisbelief thanks for redirecting me here to your nice thread, great to see/meet another NUC10i5FNHN fellow!
A couple of questions for my learning curve, if you have some time, despite my existing experience on NUC10i7FNHN that I already use more than a year ago:
Are you no longer...
Hi everyone.
My working NUC8i7BEH2 got damaged in some chips controlling USB port power (they are all dead) and the NUC cannot be repaired (Intel refuses both repair or RMA) so I had to buy another machine to keep on hackintoshing and got, too, NUC10i5FNHN (no 3.5jack or Audio codec). Prices...
Hi @zavrus I've been updating firmwares days after I realised Intel published them, stopped worrying about compatibilities as both Big Sur and Monterey work well (with OpenCore).
Indeed the last firmware from Intel made CFGLock stop working. I suspect they hid the parameter in NVRAM and now...
Hello @pierpaolo2395 and @epal I am not sure how you manage to get FakePCIID and FakePCIID_Intel_HDMI_Audio kexts loading, I have tried multiple times and FakePCIID doesn't even load at all. Do you have this shown when you run kextstat in Terminal? What CSR values are you using in Config?
I...
Hi everyone, I hope you are all well and safe. I am facing recently a sleep-wake problem (Big Sur 11.2.3) that I don't think I had in the past. Not sure if it's related to OpenCore 0.6.8 update, do you still get smooth sleep without immediate wake on the NUC10 Core i7?
When I run this command...
Intel have released an HDMI firmware updater but for Windows. Try that one, it could solve your issue. I made a Windows-USB based installation just for that update, using "Rufus" tool and a Windows 10 ISO, on an external old SSD in an USB3 enclosure. Works pretty well. Search for articles on...
At some point, I had faced an issue too with booting from USB, even the NVMe installed, and had contacted Intel after managing to solve it... It's a hard thing to explain but will try to summarise it, @firepandem you may need to do some research.
a) use a different USB flash disk, format it in...
Yes @Leesureone it's 99% the RTC fix that changed i.e. the problem faced by @firepandem (and like ±100 pages ago  ) so the best solution is to use an SSDT that disables this new clock device, instead of the Clover DSDT hot-patching bytes/patch. Here is the DSL and compiled AML SSDT for you...
Well done but what do you mean unrecognised PCI parts? Devices? What is unrecognised in your IORegistry? Your feedback would be welcome for us to understand... and are you using AppleALC or VoodooHDA? This hot-plugging of the cable is for me a little worrisome... I can't plug in and out all the...
Hi @devildothack are you still using VoodooHDA.kext with your NUC10 i7, mate? Via HDMI?
@pierpaolo2395 is in absolute need for digital audio to work... can you possibly share for him your latest EFI folder?
I remember I had downloaded your 0.6.3 EFI zip and you were using VoodooHDA with...
I am sorry but you must have mixed me with somebody else. Again. Please have a look in the previous pages how to use VoodooHDA.kext instead of AppleHDA.kext.
I do not use sound, as mentioned, I gave up trying.
@pierpaolo2395 it seems that using AppleALC.kext is not working with HDMI or USB-C cable to monitors.
Only VoodooHDA.kext works, check some pages ago, it is explained (also which audio-id to use).
I cannot help you further as I have given up. But check...
