can you help a brother out? i used to be able to boot from 950 pro all day long in Yosemite but now it doesn't work well at all in El Cap. i'm thinking something in my config might be to blame.. or a kext thing?
i'm having the same issue. i can boot from SATA SSD, and *see* the NVME drive... then i copied SSD OS over to NVME drive.. and trying to boot from it. it boots *occasionally* but not really like it needs to. the SATA is way more consistent & reliable. and the NVME *does* work *sometimes* is...
that sucks. why not?
also, i've been using it with Yosemite and it's been very reliable.
Is there an alternative? i need to boot el capitan off this 950 Pro.
Weird problem here: I can boot from NVME (Samsung 950 Pro) but not if Thunderbolt card is installed. any ideas? switching Thunderbolt into different PCI-E slots hasn't been helping.
Yeah, i think you're right. I am not sure, bc i borrowed the drive & it's at home. it was one of the earlier lacie drives.
but what about this...... i tried putting my macbook pro in Thunderbolt Target Disk Mode.. shouldn't it at least have seen that?
