Do I need to start over again, or can I pick up at a certain point?
All I did so far was create a bootable USB and ran Unibeast, selected a downloaded Mojave installer and UEFI boot mode.

So I already completed two steps in the guide I was following.

Not sure to which you are referring. Are you referring to the bios setting links? Because if so, I don't see anything that says Dell on it, which is why I don't consider them valid.
I am following up the laptop guide for Mojave.
But at step 3, it's unclear whether I need to use the UEFI settings mentioned or more recent specific ones.
Also,I can't find any up to date info on what features are actually working and not with that version.
