Hello there,
After hackintoshing 3 Optiplex 7010 thanks to tonymacx86, I would love to build an up-to-date computer from the ground up.
What I want : a working hackintosh with as much as possible out-of-the-box compatibility. Don't need WiFi or Thunderbolt, but would like Bluetooth to work...
I want to start over clean, installing Windows first on a specific SSD with the over unplugged, following this guide. The thing is that if I start by making the Bios settings first, disabling legacy booting, I have only a black screen and can't do anything at boot. Windows doesn't boot, Clover...
I spoke too fast.
I replaced bootmgfw.efi in windows file by cloverx64.efi from clover file. But now, it can no longer boot in windows : if i select windows at clover boot screen, it will relaunch clover without any choice this time. I guess I did something wrong.
It does still work if I unplug Windows' SSD.
To be frank, I've red almost everything on the forums about this issue and I think I did all correct. My Windows installation was not legacy but UEFI, and I did not overwrite the Clover's EFI partition on disk0.
The only issue I keep having is the...
Actually, yes, I didn't unplug the first SSD in the same time. Is it an issue ?
I might reinstall windows from scratch to make sure i wont have troubles if you think it can be. Haven't used windows yet but will become part of my work computer to use windows only softs.
Yes, you just have to add them in clower in the Hide part ! I have same 8300 HP as you and it worked well :)
EDIT : nervermind, you already figured it by yourself !
I followed your solution, it works so far but I don't know for how long, as if i understand correctly, any windows update will...
I'll just add something that is kind of strange.
I installed a second SSD with Windows 10 on it, using a tonymac guide. Weirdly, I checked my BIOS settings, and they were back to default (port A enabled, legacy supported, etc.)
But (1) everything works fine and (2) if I change it back to...
Hi there ! Thanks for the guide.
What are my options if I want a working and fast wifi in my HP 8300 Elite SFF ? Is there any other choice than a cheap usb dongle with low speeds or a Apple native card about 100 bucks ?
Thanks :)
Thanks for the quick answer. Seems as the RX 560 LP is the only viable choice for Mojave with a bit of power for games,, but it's really hard to find in France.
I keep geting "Your computer has detected a potential problem" on every boot after 10/15 min use. Anyone has them or found how to disable them ? I always click not sending to apple, but would be glad to stop them from appearing in the first place
