    [SOLVED] LG Optical drive help.

Fixed the problem. I had the drive plugged into a 6gbs sata port on my mobo. I switched it to a 3gbs port and now it works. Although I feel like it's ripping blurays at a very slow rate. But at least it's picking it up now.

Problems with Upgrade from SL to Mavs. USB-HDD hangs during boot up

This is what a fellow poster replied to one of my post for help. I wasn't able to find a solution there, but maybe you'll have some better luck. Some useful info in those links. Good luck. Let me know if this helped you

    Can't reach installation screen!

Thanks Adrian. I looked through your links, and have tried just about everything I could find in those. Unfortunately, what worked for some people didn't work for me. Same results :( I've also searched the forums for info on my mobo, but it's not a very common one, so not much help there...

Problems with Upgrade from SL to Mavs. USB-HDD hangs during boot up

I am having the exact same problem. Updating from 10.6.8 on GeForce 210 as well. My monitors do the same thing after the apple loading screen. Go black, then into standby mode. Please let me know if you find a solution for this. I'll do the same :) ecs h67h2-m2 mobo 3.1GHz Intel core i3...

    Can't reach installation screen!

I'm trying to update to mavericks. I'm currently running 10.6.8. When I try to install mavericks from my unibeast usb, I get to the apple loading screen, then the screen just goes blank, and after a few seconds my monitor goes into sleep mode. I run a dual monitor setup on a geforce 210. One...

Problems getting into my Lion Install

Re: Problems booting after comboupdate, then with Network I was having the same problem, not being able to boot without iBoot. Which was very frustrating, because the system will only recognize 4gb of ram when booting with iBoot. The way I got it to work was by installing the nVidia drivers...

    RAM Not recognized

Update: I got everything working. I'm not sure exactly what did it, but I did a few things. I deleted the efi string for the video card I generated from osx86tools, downloaded the mac drivers from the nVidia website, rebooted, re-added a new efi string with osx86tools, graphics enabler=no...

    RAM Not recognized

yes I am still booting with iBoot. I can't get it to start without the disc. After installing easybeast, i reboot without the disc and it just hangs at the white apple screen with the spinning wheel. That's good to know about iBoot though, I didn't know that. I guess now I have to figure out...

    RAM Not recognized

I can't seem to figure out why my system won't recognize all of my ram. I have 8gb (2x 4gb) installed and it only picks up one stick. In "about this mac" it reads 4gb, but in system profiler it reads that both 4gb sticks are there and are "ok". Also, in activity monitor, it only reads that...

    RAM problem

Nope. It didn't work. I ran multibeast with the exact specs as your pics. I still can't boot without the iBoot disc, and it still reads that I only have 4gb ram. I installed the drivers from nVidia, but it doesn't support my actual card. I don't know what else to do.

    RAM problem

    RAM problem

I am trying to figure out why my system only shows 4gb ram. I have 8gb (2x 4gb) DDR3 1333 MHz installed. My mobo supports 32gb. Both chips show up in the system profiler and the status is ok. The activity monitor only shows 4gb as well. The BIOS reads all 8gb. I am on 10.6.8 combo update...
