Sorry, I should have made this clear before, I never had any intention of using the Sapphire Pulse card and Nvidia 1080ti in the computer at the same time. I just plugged the Sapphire by itself to see how compatible it was and if I had to make any system tweaks to make it work; I didn't have to...
Don't plan on going there anytime soon. I've got a lot of Nvidia hardware. I might have to start bitcoin mining.
Almost everything I do would be 4k and up.
I've seen the code posted a couple of places. I also read you need a recovery partition (If so, I'll have to start cloning with Acronis...
The Gigabyte Z97X-UD5H-BK is a pretty easy mobo to work with, and the Gigabyte BIOS are some of the most compatible for use with OSX. The second slot is the 'first slot' in this case because the first slot is 'x1', the second is 'x16'. Yeah, I haven't gotten to the 'brew.sh' part in my research...
Now that I've had time to read through the entire thread (mostly) and read through the documentation on github it's clear that both vulgo's and Benjamin's scripts do more than just parse the available driver versions and download what they think is best for the user. I need to do more research.
Hi again Raddles,
this might be an ignorant question, but is there any reason why you didn't download 387.10.10.10.40.127 (or for that matter, 387.10.10.40.113, which others in this thread have used for 10.13.6 build 17G66) from tonymacx86's 'downloads' section?
Hi Raddles,
Thank you for your reply and I greatly appreciate you offering to help. I'm on HFS+ as well, no plans at this time to change that... Build 17G66, like you. I guess I don't understand how the nvidia driver version numbers are related to the 10.13.66 release numbers; to a neophyte it...
It's the same with the Macbook Pro, jiffyslot- input and output. I checked them with the mini-SPDIF cables connected, but thanks for the reminder, it's something I might easily forgotten, given the few times I've used them recently.
Thank you for your reply trs96; my Macbook Pro Mid 2010 is on High Sierra (last version that can be run on it); pretty sure I still have my El Capitan SSD for it, will connect it externally, boot to it and see what I find.

While preparing to update an old motherboard (GA-EP45-UD3P) because it has 'S/PDIF (Toslink) In' onboard, I noticed that my Macbook Pro (17" Mid 2010) which has both 'S/PDIF In' and 'S/PDIF Out' no longer shows 'S/PDIF In' either in 'System Preferences' or 'About this Mac > System Report > Audio...
Found that motherboard setting was enabling the serial port... Disabled it in BIOS - that explains the Serial Port Entry. I still don't know where the Ethernet 2 and Ethernet 3 came from but I deleted all 3 of them from the list in Apple menu => System Preferences => Network.
Deleted...
Can't sign into Apple Store or iCloud- I understand what the problem is (needs to be desinated 'Built-in' and 'en0'), need to sort out the Ethernet options and why I've got 3 Ethernet entries in Preferences => Network instead of 1 or 2:

@ jonidontcry
I'm a bit confused by your 2 posts... maybe I don't understand how the scripts work.
on March 21, 2020 you say:
and 10 days later on March 31, 2020 you say:
Were you on a build earlier than 17G66 when you posted on March 21, then updated to 17G66 some time between March 21 and...
Current Security Update for High Sierra as of April 11, 2020 is now 2020-002
Other than Nvidia drivers, have any experienced issues with latest security updates (2020-001 or 2020-002) that broke any part of your os 10.13.6?
