[Success] Radeon RX 6800 XT - Big Sur

Update: I did steps 1, 3, and 4. Booted with no complaints. We are Big Navi-ing; no problems found so far. (PowerColor Red Dragon 6800XT).

[Success] Radeon RX 6800 XT - Big Sur

Thank you both! I'm pretty excited for this thing to show up so I can get it in there. Not SUPER pleased about going to Big Sur, but I guess I'll deal ;)

[Success] Radeon RX 6800 XT - Big Sur

Hey gang, been watching this thread since the start — was stoked to see driver support come around, but of course then there were no cards to be had. I'm an idiot and finally bought one from a scalper, because I apparently hate money and need to get rid of it right away. I'm still running...

Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming build with working NVRAM

I'm about to update to 0.6.0 this evening... do you recall if there were any needed config.plist changes that I should look out for?

Oof, $100 less than what I spent 2.5 weeks ago

Lightroom/Photoshop Editing Build - Component check please.

Photographer here, working with 46MP RAW files in Adobe suite every day. I think for Lightroom Classic (and Photoshop) your main areas of focus should be: 1) RAM RAM RAM RAM RAM, 2) fast storage 3) CPU — particularly single-threaded CPU performance... in that order. Max out the RAM you can...

There are NVMe adapters for the Bluetooth cards; I don’t have any experience with that and don’t know if this mobo supports it. I’d hate to lose an NVMe slot for this!! Consider switching GPUs? I have the sapphire pulse RX 580 and the Fenvi slides in alongside it in slot 3 without touching...

Confirming 48 hours later that for the first time in the life of this build, unlock with Apple watch is working consistently — even after sleep. HUZZAH!

Ooh, so into the cheese grater! Is it a G5 or a Mac Pro? I have a G5 cheese grater chassis sitting in my garage, waiting for me to get adventurous enough to transplant my hack pro into it...

Ugh this is the main thing now keeping me from re-attempting a windows install, after I bought two nvmes in order to dual boot. If having Windows around to occasionally play with is going to compromise the MacOS boot volume in any way, it's not worth it to me.

Actually, somewhere along the way, an iteration of my config.plist got saved without it! Fixed.

Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming build with working NVRAM

Well, I installed BIOS f9j, re-entered the hackintosh-specific settings, and turned off Serial. Restarted, and I still got the black screen like before. I left and ran some errands, and came back to the computer with a plan to clear the CMOS and reinstall f9g or whatever it was I'd been using...

I don't know what specifically fixed the issue with Airdrop (or whether it was @pastrychef's EFI folder — with some modifications of my own — that did it). I just know those changes were close in time and that's when Airdrop stopped exhibiting some of the inconsistency I'd seen from it...

For what it's worth, I have the Fenvi t919 (with broadcom chipset) and it worked out of box ALMOST perfectly — I haven't gotten Unlock with Apple Watch working yet, and Airdrop didn't work consistently until I fixed USB mapping. Basic Wifi, Bluetooth (I use an Apple Magic Keyboard & Magic...
