Thanks again, was able to get one step closer. Installed clover and the installer on an SSD and was able to boot to the install menu with your kexts/drivers/config.plist. Unfortunately I lost all USB port functionality at that point (which explains the IO error I was previously having and why...

Unfortunately no luck getting passed the panic. I'll keep tinkering tomorrow. Any ideas?

Thanks Farcry, I'll try your plist this evening. Stork, I should have clarified that I haven't been able to boot the Sierra install USB I created using unibeast. I've tried multiple versions of clover as well since I read that some weren't working.

Thanks a lot. If it's not too much to ask could you share the kexts as well. I have the same exact setup (processor and Mobo). Getting stuck on "waiting on ioregistry.." then I get a panic. I can provide more info this eve, currently at work.

Awesome, i'll be following this thread as i have a very similar setup. I've tried your boot parameters with no luck, do you have a clover config.plist that you'd be able to share? What KEXTs would you suggest booting a USB drive with?

For example, if i click and drag with two fingers (index finger and thumb, moving my index finger but keeping my thumb in place) the cursor will move until i lift my finger (this is fine) when i want to move my finger to its original location, to keep dragging farther, the cursor jumps backwards...

Thanks to all of you for this great thread and the awesome patches and KEXTs. I was able to get my u430 working great using this thread, only issue i have is that the touchpad is kinda wonky. Dragging and dropping a window for example is very glitchy. Is this to be expected?
