Looking to see if there is kext out for my gpu the 580 temp sensers yet? and if so where can I get them I have the HWmontior but it shows everything else but gpu. because the gpu is getting warm. and the fans are not on. and they do work because there on when i first boot up. So dont understand...

Ok I got to the install screen but the stuff is in looks like Chinese. I changed it to us but still Chinese and clicked install but looked like have me an error but could t read it.

Yea was saying no support because of the gpu issue. Could probably been worded a little better. Just getting frustrated. Been messing with this for a week now.

Mojave is supported with the macpro 5,1 mid 2010 I’m just trying to get Catalina installed to have support with the rx 5500. I have got Mojave installed once using the unsupported installer because of no Mojave supported gpu for install.

Ok I have a Macpro 5,1 mid 2010 I have installed high sierra so i have that version of bootware but I dont have a mojave supported gpu yet so I dont have that version of the firmware. I have the ATI HD 7700 I think. and Purchased a readon rx 5500 xt So even using the dosdude1 unsupported...

And when installing I’ve noticed mine stays the white screen doesn’t go dark like some of the other videos I have watched using the dudes1 unsupported installer. Not sure if I’m doing something wrong

Yea it’s been installed correctly. And made a boot usb for Catalina. But keep getting reboots with 2 minutes remaining and been have been doing it for a couple hours now.

I have the Video card that was ordered with it. My mom purchased it firsthand think it’s a amd 1gb but it’s not metal. So when I try to get the latest firmware like 148.00.00 but keeps asking for a metal card. After I put high Serra back on and got it to apfs now But can’t use my new card cuz it...

It’s requirement is a metal gpu I have a Radeon rx 5500xt but getting black screen on high Sierra Is there a trick to be able to get the firmware to be able to update. I tried going right to Catalina but some reason it won’t mount apfs Thanks may be in wrong place sorry

its the factory card. not sure where it is installed. its not in where the nvme is or any of the pcie slots. I have the strix z370-e gaming motherboard
