Did u see that video from Max Yuryev when he's testing new Mac Pro? At one point is doing a bench with the app Blackmagic RAW Speed Test (Radeon Pro Vega II 32 GB) So the results are for Metal. Mac Pro (2019) HD 1838 fps 4K 459 fps 6K 179 fps 8K 114 fps My Hack with Radeon VII HD 1473 fps 4K 368...

Make the switch to opencore 0.5.0 on my hack (see signature). Apart of the BIG Apple logo while booting all is good with a minimal config (emulated nvram via LogoutHook, also bluetooth and wifi with the DW1560). Everything is working well. About the loading of kext... they need to be put in the...

Hi @pastrychef :) can i ask u a favor ? can u run the new geekbench 5 on your hack (9900k & Rad VII) to have a comparison with mine ? pretty difficult to find one right now. Geekbench still doesn't show the GPU on their results or maybe i'm tired :) Here are mine with a 8700k stock & Vega 56...

go with a cheap Vega 56 (reference blower if u can), I think IF we have drivers in Catalina for the RX 5700 & 5700 XT, it will be coming with the next iMac... so somewhere in April 2020

I forgot about RehabMan method :/ but what i know using hackintool... there is a line u need to modify to use the same USB SSDT & Kext when u change the SMBIOS... for exemple this line in the kext plist. So maybe u need to do the same thing with rehabman method...

Grey out, too. I discovered this while reading the patch notes: "Added initial support for VideoToolbox hardware-accelerated encoding". My encoding without touching anything else than this option.

Maybe I'm wrong when you use the *VideoToolbox* option in H264/H265. But for the moment, the CPU is quiet and with 48°C - 169% load (8700k), and the Vega 56 is at 65°C. On a 6GB TS video (3 hours)... 30 min encoding.
