I was updating a bunch of Apple laptops over the past couple days, and Security update 2018-002 has been a pain in my ass. It has always failed on the first install, but succeeds on the second try. You know it has failed the first attempt because there is a "macOS Install Data" folder left on...
Can't hurt to experiment! Might even use a potentiometer or 2 and try the various values. Wish I had more to offer. Ohh, and you aren't trying to plug in earbuds or something that is already TRRS? That would confuse it.
I guess there is no reason it couldn't be different. The values I showed may have been specific to Intel and Gigabyte. I just assumed everyone used those values. This was with the front panel unplugged, and nothing plugged into the back?
Thanks for the link. I was preparing for the worst and backed up the Mac partition just in case I had to start over, and then I undid the change I made to the EFI partition that allowed OSX to boot, and suddenly all boot options work. Win 10 and OSX boot properly from Clover again. Wish I had a...
Grrr, I was hoping you had found a solution (other than swapping motherboard).
Dual boot Win 10, and El Cap set up using this guide: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-el-capitan-on-the-ga-h87n-wifi-with-gt-740.172400/
Everything was great until installing the Summer 2016 Win 10 update...
Found the solution in the forums, just took trying a number of different search keywords:

I have a dual boot El Cap/Win 10 hack. Recently installed the Windows 10 Anniversary update, and it apparently overwrites the bootloader. Now hackintosh boots into Win 10 rather than clover.
I can boot to to the USB clover bootloader on my Unibeast stick. From there I can boot to the OSX...
Just adding my thanks to OP. Made quick work of getting my z87n wifi reconfigured to use UEFI and Clover with both El Cap and Windows 10 on the same drive. Many of the other guides have you use rufus to make the Windows image, which I thought was pointless, and your guide proved that correct.
I...
Have you been able to test fit the GPU in there yet? I had to give up on the 20mm rails not only because I didn't have a belt sander to profile them down to where they would fit, but they ate up too much space between them (at least on paper) and I couldn't fit the GPU between them.
I really...
If you are still having problems with the PCIe extension, this is the one I use, and it is very stable. So many of the Chinese extenders are just pure crap. It is expensive though.

The GPU is primarily supported by the slot. The slot is bolted to the rails. Because the GPU just barely fits between the rails, you can just wedge a bit of plastic between the card and the rail for additional support.
Reverse image search to the rescue....
