    [SUCCESS] Asus P8Z68-VPro+Core i5 i2500+Nvidia GTX 1060

I noted a post above that a moderator that this page had been "moved" to Desktop Guides (DG). I'm not sure what that means since when I go to DG I always end up back here. That may suggest this page is not checked at all... At any rate I am confused by what it does mean. Is there anyone there...

    [SUCCESS] Asus P8Z68-VPro+Core i5 i2500+Nvidia GTX 1060

I have a similar system to yours and have installed High Sierra 10.13.6.02 and dual boot Win 10 Pro(separate HD). I've had problems with USB cards and on board USB 3.0 since Sierra. I noted the following quote in your comprehensive build spec: "...hot-plugging and eject on USB 3.1 works". I can...

No Audio After Long Sleep, Z77-DS3H, 10.9.2, Multibeast 6.2.1.

This something to try. I consider this a temp fix at best… but it’s something that works for me when audio breaks after sleep. I use ALC892 with the optional “Port Audio Enabler” available in Multibeast 6.2.1 (OSX 10.9.2) even though I am running under 10.9.4. This temp fix has worked for...

Audio not Working after Sleep - Yosemite, Clover

This something to try. Note that I am on 10.9.4 and not on Clover. I consider this a temp fix at best and I can speak to 10.10+ but it’s something that works for me when audio breaks. Note also that I use ALC892 with the optional “Port Audio Enabler” available in Multibeast 6.2.1 for OSX 10.9.2...

No Audio After Long Sleep, Z77-DS3H, 10.9.2, Multibeast 6.2.1.

I just upgraded to 10.9.1 from 10.7.5 after a considerable amount of testing. Sleep works under Mavericks except for loosing audio on wake up. I tried almost everything listed in this thread and more. However, it didn’t work for me. This is a barebones workaround script I wrote that will...

No Audio After Long Sleep, Z77-DS3H, 10.9.2, Multibeast 6.2.1.

Before you try the earlier version Multibeast, try the simple stuff first. At the very least do a TimeMachine backup or even an image with CarbonCopy or SuperDuper before you do anything!... You might end up "unbootable" fella! Regarding Repair Permissions, you can use Disk Utility to do that...

Core i7-3770K is slower than i7-3770

Hmmm... Just ran accross your post of over a year ago. I don't think your statement is an accurate comment. I have an i7-3770k/Asus P8Z68 pro gen 3 setup and it has working VT-d. There is an able/disable bios setting for VT-d (last choice for the CPU config). Further, I know its working...

EBIOS read error: Error 0x31 Block 0x0 Sectors 0

I can't necessarily say I have solved this problem. But, I can say it is "fixed" for now on my machine. I have a multi-boot Win7, multi-partition system with SL, Lion and Mt Lion and installer partitions running. Recently, I started to get this "EBIOS Read Error: Error "0x31" on every boot...

Beta Asus Sandy Bridge Sleep/Wake Fix

I noticed you mentioned my board back on page 3 of this thread. I've been trying to follow your DSDT edits an am a bit confused. I am pretty new to the whole DSDT game and was only partially successful in creating a DTST. That is nothing new for me as I have limited knowledge in this area... i...

Boot0 Error FIX for 2TB Seagate Drive

Apparently some admin didn't like my instructions or something (even though they work). For some reason Tonymac deleted my pdf with all the commands ... Anyway, I fixed the problem differently than the "official" fix at the link above for TonyMac. I see no reason why if you have a Windows or...

I finally got around to overclocking my build with temperatures that won't broil a chicken. After snorkeling around the web for months, I finally found a good link fro what is essentially a manual overclock in bios. More about that in a moment... Also, the correct overclock "Processor Speed"...

    boot0 Error: The Official Guide

I did something a bit different to fix this: Booted into an OSX installer and used the installer terminal to connect to my network. I then copied the "boot1h" to the boot sectors on the large drive with the boot0 error. It worked. I explain in step-by-step detail how to do all this in a new...

Re: drcrack's original post April 26th, 2011, 07:04 AM with attached bluetooth driver: ath3k-firmware-uploader.tgz Looks like we're coming full circle here. I noted 24 pages of responses to your (drcrack) first post in April 2011 with install instructions for the Anthros bluetooth driver...

No sound after upgrade to 10.7.5

Have you tried the Apple HDA rollback or patch in MultiBeast. I think its gone in the latest version for Lion 4.7. It is in 4.61 and earlier in the alc8xxx Realtek sub heading. I assume Gigabyte is Realtek. I have an Asus board and the rollback works for me. I couldn't get any of the audio...
