Awesome guys, congrats! I guess I'm missing something, as still no device connected through ASMedia is recognized…
What are your SSDTs and other kext? It might be somewhere around there, or another difference since I have a different motherboard type
EDIT : I finally found a way after tweaking...
Awesome man, you're getting closer! Unfortunately I'm still trying to learn about DSDTs and all that stuff, mainly from Dortania's guide, but I guess I'm missing some key points haha!
Would you mind sharing this DSDT, if by any chance I can find something?
Plus, I don't see my USB 3.1 as PXSX...
Hello @jzrodriguez98, @Feartech I'm also looking for a fix for a USB 3.1 ASmedia 2142 controller pcie card with Big Sur. I'm guessing it has something to do with the IOPowerManagement, but I couldn't find a solution yet…
Alright, that’s strange as it never was a problem... or so I thought (I put it back as the Linux fix for NIC ID didn’t last and I had to go through the process each time).
Thanks a lot guys!
I also upgraded to 10.15.4, and it seemed to be working well. Until it started crashing for no apparent reason and it got worse, also rebooting at startup more and more... I captured this:
If anyone knows what it means and where I could look to fix it, I’d be so grateful!
Hey @teamawesome! Hope everyone is doing well here
I was wondering if you had any news about the cpupm. I tried different stuff but i still have problems with sleep sometimes, or from time to time booting fails and reboots
@itwas thanks for the precision, but it doesn't change much apparently.
Also system reboots when waking up from sleep, I don't know where it comes from
I did, and it doesn't change the benchmarks a bit, and I get random reboots when booting also. At least the GPU seems as good or better at times!
What bothers me is this line in the CPUFriend guide : "file should be a complete plist from Recources inside ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin or...
Hey @teamawesome ! Thank you so much for your guide, I just have a few questions :
About the power management, is it normal to have an error of match between the mac7,1 motherboard model and the Ivy Bridge processors when creating the ssdt?
And for the modification of the ssdt file with the...
Alright, I tried with the changes you mentioned (update Bios, without SSDT-EC, with USBInjectAll, and my SSDT-CPUPM I created without NullCPUPowerManagement), and yes I plugged the rx 5700 xt (I saw it sometimes needed the boot argument agpdmod=pikera, but it doesn't seem to change anything)...
Alright, I'll try and get rid of everything non relevant, thanks a lot!
EDIT: with this Clover folder nothing appears to change on the upgrade partition, but now the USB installer stops there:
Could it be the ethernet kext then? I don't really know where to look, at first I thought there was a problem with the lilu error "user failed to change memory protection"… Here is the last Clover efi folder I used
Yes I do, same with Lilu. I get a few errors, i tweaked a few kexts and things in clover I found here and there, but nothing changes, if you can see what's wrong in my screenshots…
I also added the ssdt-ec in the patch folder
