    X99-AII "In memory panic stackshot"

Hello all, I'm back after years of building my first hackintosh few years back. I'm decided to upgrade my MacOS and chose to use opencore instead of clover. I'm getting a panic while trying to install Big Sur. I've googled around, tried a few things for few hours and I hit a roadblock. I also...

My mistake, I said it backwards. Your instruction says to copy and paste SDST.aml but the file generated was SSDT. So I'll assume SSDT.aml is correct.

Hey KGP, Just wanted to double check to see if there was a typo or if I missed something. Under the XCPM step 7, it says to copy the SSDT.aml file but my file that was generated was DSDT.aml. Did something change or did I miss something?

KGP, First off, again, thank you for your help!! Ivy-bridge boostrap looks correct, not sure on Broadwell-e, didn't see anything on that. I didn't change anything nor did I see any updated cpuid_set_info. Here's something interesting, I'm gonna guess that HWmonitor is never always correct...

kgp, I'm putting the whole display topic to the side as I don't have any issues. Now, touching on the XCPM topic, figured out why mine wouldn't return `1` when running sysctl machdep.xcpm.mode. The xcpm_bootstrap change on 10.12.6. This is the one that worked. Find: 8d43c483 f822 Replace...

KGP, Take a look at this in regards to CSM. https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/disabling-csm-in-bios-causes-black-screen-on-login.203826/ I'll try the fakecpuid and get back to you. I really appreciate your quick response and help, sir!

Thats whats been bugging me, the fact we have the same board but a slight diff GPU haha. AGDPfix was v1.0. I restored the AppleGraphicsControl.kext that was backed up on my desktop, ran the v1.3 and rebooted. It does boot up properly BUT it shows the Graphics as "Nvidia Chip model 8 MB". I then...

Disabled CSM in the bios, added the Lilu and NvidiaGraphicsFixup in the /efi/clover/kext/10.12 didn't work, black screen again.

I did use the AGDPfix and then installed the web driver but that didn't seem to work. This Sierra was my 2nd install in two day and I thought Lilu and or NvidiaGraphicsFixup caused KP (not 100% sure), so I'm a little iffy on installing that kext again. I read somewhere the enabling or disabling...

KGP, thanks for the awesome write up!! I got my 10.12.6 up and running, one of the bumps I hit was when I installed nvidia driver and rebooted, I got the dreaded black screen. The fix was re-enabling CSM. Not sure what the affects are for re-enabling CSM does to MacOS. I'm at the XCPM set...

    Custom Watercooled Asus x99-A Usb3.1 / 5820k / GTX 980ti - El Capitan 10.11.6

Updated! I was able to get Sierra installed but somehow ended up KP. Currently trying to follow another guide (KGP) but somehow the UEFI bios patch screwed up my mobo. Can't POST at the moment.

Direct Update from El Capitan to Sierra > Problems

Sorry, what i meant was after reboot, since the option to boot mac os install is not available in clover, it just boots back to El Cap.

Direct Update from El Capitan to Sierra > Problems

Hello all! I just installed El cap but found out that GTX 1050 is supported from Sierra. I tried upgrading Sierra from El Cap but after the reboot, clover doesn't have the option "Boot macOS Install option". I did read the first few pages but didn't see/may have missed the solution to this...
