Turns out I had my Brcm kexts in the wrong order, which is important, apparently. Also for my Asus BT400 it seems work better with the specific firmware injector kexts & associated BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext.
So is anybody using an Asus BT400 bluetooth dongle? I can't get mine to work reliably and my Logitech G603 mouse seems to refuse to connect most of the time.
I've tried using the BrcmPatchRAM 3 & associated kexts but it still refuses to load the right firmware so either I'm doing something...
Sure here you go, it may need something else changing as once I replaced my your USBPorts kext with mine it seems to have done something to the OC graphical boot menu and there are whole load EFI icons in the boot menu.
OK so followed your instructions & bluetooth via the ASUS BT400 dongle now seems to be working much better, both keyboard & mouse connected for the time being.
Sound - Internal sound now completely non functional, it's not even showing as an option. Only monitor DisplayPort & USB DAC are...
When you've changed the layout ID repost & I'll try again
Re bluetooth, I usually have more success with an Asus BT400 dongle, but even that seems flakey atm, so not sure what's going on. M2 adaptor is out of the question for me due to my NVME card.
OK so results as follows:
1. Sleep works
2. Network port works
3. Sound very quiet & crackles at full volume (I normally use a usb dac anyway)
4. Bluetooth just as flakey as before . Only one device can connect at a time and then it will usually lose connection after a few minutes and require...
The only other possible explanation is that I was using Clover Configurator to mount the EFI and that it was mounting the wrong one. Even though I was triple checking that I was pointing it to the correct one. Hmmmm thinking about it that could be more plausable. ...... :)
So yes definitely...
Well I can't explain it any other way. The Test SSD desktop environment is completely different, not set up iCloud or user accounts or any of the PlatformInfo data etc so that's how I know it was reading the wrong EFI. But as you say all good now. :)
So yes definitely ready to try OC 5.8.
