    How to Fix iMessage

Hey guys, Just a quick note to say that I too had the "Call customer support with the validation code" error after trying the steps on this guide. It seems that when I migrated my mother's Macbook info (profile, but not system settings or any thing that would affect the boot-up. (I know...

    Magic Mouse/Apple wireless keyboard question

Hey there, I recently set up a Windows HD on my computer, and will be using it to do some light gaming. I want to be able to use my Magic Mouse/Keyboard setup to do so. I have been able to set up both devices under Windows, complete with scrolling and other gestures. But I have noticed that...

Guide - Fusion Drive using tonymacx86 Tools & Chimera

Step by Step Fix for iMessage - Requires Latest Chameleon Hello guys, I thought I would reply with a positive note on my experiences. I am running my OS on a custom Fusion Drive, made from a 128GB SSD and a 500GB mechanical drive. I followed the steps outlined in the first post of this...

    Installing Mountain Lion on GA-P55A-UD4P - i7860 - Sapphire Radeon HD 5870

Hey Peppy2, How's it going? I wanted to check in, see how the rig was working. I finally managed to update to 10.8.2. I had to reinstall yet again, so I picked up an SSD on Boxing day and created a Fusion Drive. It seem's pretty quick. My machine boots in half the time it used to. Have you...

    Installing Mountain Lion on GA-P55A-UD4P - i7860 - Sapphire Radeon HD 5870

As am I. I actually found that with the USB 3.0 drivers in this version of Multibeast, the ports didn't register correctly, where as with the previous version, they did. That being said, I was unable to sleep at all. Under my current set up (no USB 3.0 drivers) my ports are just identified as...

    Installing Mountain Lion on GA-P55A-UD4P - i7860 - Sapphire Radeon HD 5870

Girlfriend at the time wanted to... hahaha, but its ok. I like working with my hands. My brothers thought I was crazy, cus it is(was) my first mod/build. I did a lot of research though. And I've spent many hours trying to figure it all out. I would still say the trickiest part was getting the...

    Installing Mountain Lion on GA-P55A-UD4P - i7860 - Sapphire Radeon HD 5870

Thanks bud, I really appreciate your help with all of this. I don't think my computer sleeps on Idle, but I have no need for this. The screen goes to sleep, but the fans stay on. If I want it to sleep, I can just tell it to. Also, I've got an iPad so, if I need to access my rig from a remote...

    Bluetooth dongle wake from sleep!

Alright, as of Mountain Lion, who still has Wake from sleep issues with Bluetooth Dongles? After a failed update to ML on my existing install, I reinstalled from scratch. With a little help, I've managed to get my machine to sleep properly. Now I want to wake it up using my Kensington micro...

    Installing Mountain Lion on GA-P55A-UD4P - i7860 - Sapphire Radeon HD 5870

Hey thanks man. I did install the USB 3.0 drivers, so I've now deleted them. I was able to use USB 3.0 under Lion with no sleep issues, wonder what changed. Lnx2Mac driver worked for sleep under Lion for me. But I found under ML that his custom ethernet driver would result in inconsistent...

    Installing Mountain Lion on GA-P55A-UD4P - i7860 - Sapphire Radeon HD 5870

Peppy, what settings did you use, exactly? I'm using the same one's I used before with Snow Leopard and Lion. Never had a sleep issue before. In the OS, all three of those boxes are checked under power saving features. I have my bios set to SR3, I'm currently not overclocked (though that was...

    Installing Mountain Lion on GA-P55A-UD4P - i7860 - Sapphire Radeon HD 5870

Coincidentally, I've got the same errors when I boot using a few different boot flags. For instance, when I boot using "UseKernelCache=No" I get the same boot error as your first screenshot. Line for Line, which is what I think is causing my sleep errors... The AppleRTC kext that is ACTUALLY in...

    Installing Mountain Lion on GA-P55A-UD4P - i7860 - Sapphire Radeon HD 5870

Are you trying to update or do a clean install? I had to do a clean install after installing over my existing set up failed. I have the same board as you. I have a mostly successful build but I can't put the rig to sleep. Let me know if doing a clean install helps J
