CPU w/ High Temperatures and Running Slow

You're absolutely right. So I guess my question is, is there any way to divvy up the cores to make other operations accessible?

CPU w/ High Temperatures and Running Slow

Well, that's good news to know that things are looking ok from a CPU standpoint. I totally understand that point, I guess my thinking was that with such a beefy machine, I wouldn't run into that issue. I just assumed otherwise (wrongly) No sluggishness at all when heavy tasks aren't running.

Intel Gadget seems to also agree.

CPU w/ High Temperatures and Running Slow

Your assumption is correct. I just don't get why I'm getting slow opening speeds in my apps, and other functions.

Here's a better look from the activity monitor side of things. Everything seems to be ok.

Thanks for responding to this. So my Corsair CW-9060015-WW H75 Liquid CPU Cooler isn't optimal? Goodness, I checked the specs and thought that would be ideal.

CPU w/ High Temperatures and Running Slow

Hey guys, So I thought I built a beast of a machine in order to help with my editing gigs while at home. I completed the build a few days ago and everything has been working fine. Today I got access to some footage that I am (currently) transcoding into proxy media. Now I know this is the...

[SOLVED] Problem Getting Through High Sierra Install Screen

You helped make it all come true! I appreciate your efforts and your support during this gruesome battle! I’ll be installing my Radeon GFX card so that should take care of the 10mb VRAM. As far as sound, I’ll also be checking out Toleda posting for that and post a new thread with any other...

[SOLVED] Problem Getting Through High Sierra Install Screen

cmn699, Thanks again for your amazing support through all of this. I ran the OS from the system disk with the USB installed. Once inside High Sierra, I copied the EFI folder from the USB installer to the mounted EFI folder from disk0s1 (still not sure why it's not reading my name). I'm not...

[SOLVED] Problem Getting Through High Sierra Install Screen

I figured that this was EXACTLY what you were going to say after your last reply. I was changing the config.plist, but wasnt actually adding it to the actual OS. I was under the impression that it was doing that on its own when I put the USB installer in. I also ran multibeast and thought that...

[SOLVED] Problem Getting Through High Sierra Install Screen

I'm sorry, I think I misspoke. I've been copying and pasting the folder from the EFI partition (once mounted through CCV) INTO the USB installer partition only, never touching the SSD at all. THIS IS ALL BEING DONE ON AN ACTUAL MACBOOK PRO, so essentially I am re-installing High Sierra (as a...

[SOLVED] Problem Getting Through High Sierra Install Screen

cmn699 Just so I am clear on the next instructions. You recommend: removing cpus=1 and changing CsrActiveConfig to 0x67 I should also note, I've been updating the EFI config.plsit from the EFI partition once mounted through CCV. After modifying and saving it, I then copy (keeping it on the...
